Reihe.

SanDisk Purchases Moore Microprocessor Patent™ Portfolio License

CUPERTINO, Calif. – March 9, 2007 – Alliacense today announced that the world’s largest supplier of flash storage card products has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent™ (MMP) Portfolio license from The TPL Group. SanDisk Corporation becomes the third major manufacturer to purchase an MMP Portfolio license this year following in the footsteps of a dozen other global manufacturers who purchased licenses over the course of last year.
“More and more manufacturers are recognizing the value and competitive edge that can be realized by becoming early movers in our formative MMP Portfolio Licensing Program,” said Mike Davis, Alliacense Senior VP of Licensing. “By design, our MMP Licensing Program rewards early movers in specific industry segments by subjecting subsequent licensees in those same segments to progressively higher royalty rates.”

According to Davis, the strong momentum of the MMP Portfolio Licensing Program validates the substantial investments and risks shouldered by inventor Chuck Moore and The TPL Group over nearly two decades. “The MMP Portfolio Licensing Program clearly demonstrates how investing in the development, protection and commercialization of IP provides a platform for enabling subsequent generations of innovation.”

The intellectual property assets protected by the MMP Portfolio encompass fundamental design techniques that enable higher performance and lower cost digital electronic systems ranging from cell phones and portable music players to communications infrastructure and medical equipment as well as automobiles, which today utilize dozens of microprocessors.

The far-reaching applications of MMP design techniques have prompted global manufacturers, many of which rank among the Fortune 500, to become MMP Portfolio licensees. Since January 2006, HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson, Pentax, Olympus, Kenwood, Agilent, Lexmark, Schneider Electric, NEC Corporation and Funai Electric have all purchased MMP Portfolio licenses.

About the MMP Portfolio

Named after legendary inventor Charles "Chuck" Moore, the MMP Portfolio includes seven US patents as well as their European and Japanese counterparts fundamental to the design of modern microprocessors, microcontrollers and system-on-chip devices.  With origins that date back to 1980s collaboration between Moore and The TPL Group, the MMP Portfolio today is jointly owned by privately held The TPL Group and publicly held Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC.OB).

Patriot Scientific Momentum Continues as SanDisk Purchases Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) Portfolio License

CARLSBAD, Calif., March 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patriot Scientific
Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC) confirmed today that SanDisk, the
world's largest supplier of flash storage card products, has purchased a
Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio license. Patriot Scientific
and The TPL Group are co-owners of the MMP Portfolio, which Alliacense, a
TPL Group enterprise, exclusively manages.
SanDisk is the 15th company to join the distinguished roster of global
manufacturers that have captured early-mover MMP licensing berths in
specific industry segments since January 2006. Alliacense again confirmed
that subsequent licensees in segments where early tiers have been secured
are subject to progressively higher royalty rates on relevant products.
The intellectual property assets protected by the MMP Portfolio
encompass fundamental design techniques that enable higher performance and
lower cost digital electronic systems ranging from cell phones and portable
music players to communications infrastructure and medical equipment as
well as automobiles, which today utilize dozens of microprocessors.
"As a co-owner of the MMP Portfolio we are pleased to welcome SanDisk
to the growing family of companies participating in the MMP Portfolio
Licensing Program," said David Pohl, chairman and CEO of Patriot Scientific
Corporation. He noted that HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson,
Pentax, Olympus, Kenwood, Agilent, Lexmark, Schneider Electric, NEC
Corporation and Funai Electric have purchased MMP Portfolio licenses in the

Pohl noted that the strong momentum of the licensing program validates
the decision by Patriot's board of directors in June 2005 to shift the
company's primary business model from manufacturing and marketing products
to a model currently focused on licensing their joint venture MMP patent
portfolio. He emphasized that Patriot Scientific invested millions of
dollars and hundreds of thousands of man-hours over 12 years or more
developing and bringing to market products based upon the company's
intellectual property, including IP contained in the MMP Portfolio.

Patriot Scientific Announces License for Leading Worldwide Flash Storage Card Company;Strong Speculative Buy Rating
Reiterated
Patriot Scientific Corporation (Patriot Scientific) announced that SanDisk (NasdaqGM:SNDK) purchased a license that gives it the right to use technologies protected by the Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio (MMP Portfolio). Patriot Scientific and The TPL Group are co-owners of the MMP Portfolio, which Alliacense, The TPL Group enterprise, exclusively manages. SanDisk is the third license announced by Patriot Scientific so far in 2007. The SanDisk license comes after 12 licenses were granted to purchase the MMP Portfolio during 2006. SanDisk is a world leader in flash data storage card products, using its patented, high- density flash memory and controller technology. SanDisks market capitalization is approximately $9.0 billion and revenue for the trailing 12-month period was approximately $3.3 billion.
Patriot Scientific and The TPL Group jointly own the MMP Portfolio that is managed by Alliacense. Alliacense has contacted approximately 400 possible infringers of the MMP Portfolio and is aggressively negotiating with additional possible infringers. In 2006, Alliacense licensed Casio (CSIOF: PK$21.75), Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HPQ$40.10), Kenwood (KNWCF.PK$2.55), SeikoEpson (SEKEF.PK$24.14), Sony (NYSE:SNE$51.50), Nikon (NINOF.PK$20.75), Olympus (OCPNF.PK$31.80), Pentax (PXCPF.PK$5.53), Schneider Electric, (OTCPK:SBGSF-$95.15), Lexmark International Inc. (NYSE:LXK-$59.50), and Funai (FUAI:PK-$20.10. According to the agreement with Alliacense, Patriot Scientific and The TPL Group share equally in the license fees after expenses. In FY2005, prior to the signing of the TPL agreement and before the agreement between TPL and Phoenix Digital, Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE:AMD$14.15) and Intel Corporation (Nasdaq NM:INTC$19.25) entered into license agreements with Patriot Scientific for certain rights to the microprocessor patents. Revenue of approximately $2.9 million from Advanced Micro was recognized in FY2005 and
revenue of approximately $10.0 million from Intel was recognized in FY2006.
SUMMARY
Patriot Scientifics common stock continues to trade in a range of a $0.44 low to a $0.72 high per share. Patriot Scientifics dividend declaration of $0.02 on February 23, 2007 (to shareholders of record as of March 6, 2007, and payable April 9, 2007), was mostly ignored by investors. We cannot stress enough, with the continued announcements of additional licensees, that we strongly believe that investors should seriously review Patriot Scientifics fundamental revenue and earnings potential. The 15 licenses granted thus far are just scratching the surface of the potential 400, and not only are these additional licenses a plus for current revenue and earnings, but the granted licenses give validity to the patents that are the subject of an infringement litigation that is pending in Texas against defendants Matsushita (NYSE:MC-$19.20) and Toshiba Corp. (OTCPK:TOSBF-$5.95). We reiterate our Strong Speculative Buy rating and maintain our 12-month price target of $1.50.
