Wir haben es in AU schon des öfteren feststellen können.

Wenn genügend eingesammelt wurde verschwinden die "dicken" VK-Orders einfach wieder aus dem OB.

MARENGO Mining non-executive director and former PNG prime minister Sir Rabbie Namaliu has been appointed as a director of Bougainville Copper.

Sir Rabbie Namaliu

In addition to his time as prime minister, Sir Rabbie has experience in the portfolios of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Treasury, Primary Industry, Petroleum and Energy and other areas of government responsibility.

In the private sector, Sir Rabbie holds directorships with other PNG companies, including a chairman role with Kina Asset Management.

While Bougainville Copper is focused on trying to reopen the Panguna mine, the company told PNGIndustryNews.net that the appointment wasn’t with an eye to speeding up the process.

While he will be part of that process, the company said it had been on the lookout for a person with Sir Rabbie’s cachet for quite a while, as his contacts within the PNG government business experience in the nation would prove quite fruitful to Bougainville Copper.

Of course, stocks don't always reflect value. More often, they reflect supply and demand (a.k.a. buying and selling … or bulls versus bears).
Recently, the bears have been in control and selling has been prevalent. Even bullish investors are selling. Some are in panic mode, while others have received margin calls. When this happens, a sell-off can become very overdone. Panic selling can accelerate and moving averages can be breached, sparking additional waves of selling. Under the circumstances, potential buyers may choose to sit back and wait, even if the current price has them salivating.
Soon, though, the bears run out of ammo. Sellers run out of shares to sell. Bears can no longer find shares to borrow. Negative commentary loses its effectiveness. At that point, the selling pressure dries up like a fire hose after the extinguishing of a blaze. With nobody left to sell the stock further down, the tiniest bit of buying starts the stock moving upward again.
Bulls that have been patiently waiting for a bottom scramble to grab the cheap shares.

Damit hier kein Mißverständnis aufkommt: Nichts ist mir lieber, als das der Kurs von BOC steigt.

@nekro 8330

Also Geduld!

US ambassador visits Bougainville

ATTAINING independence or maintaining an autonomous status for Bougainville will be a decision that the people of Bougainville will have to make, United States Ambassador Teddy Taylor said.
The ambassador was speaking during a one-day visit to Bougainville this week in which he was asked on what he thought of Bougainville’s move towards a referendum for independence or continued autonomy in 2015.
“People have to look at this in an unemotional way. It is great but, once you become an independent nation, how do you generate revenue to support being independent?” Taylor asked.
In response to the issue of re-opening Panguna mine, the ambassador said it made sense, especially in rebuilding the economy of the region.
“The mine means jobs, it means income and that’s real revenue.”
During his short visit to the autonomous region, Taylor, who was accompanied by his wife Antoinette and public diplomacy officer Brian Asmus visited UNDP officials and met with Bougainville NGO groups after paying a courtesy call on President John Momis and Minister for Bougainville Affairs Fidelis Semoso.
This was Taylor’s first official visit to Bougainville since he became US ambassador to PNG on Sept 21, 2009.

Papua New Guinea PM suspended for two weeks
AFP

Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Michael Somare has been suspended from office for two weeks after being found guilty of 13 charges of official misconduct, his spokeswoman said Friday.

A special tribunal of three judges sitting in the capital Port Moresby earlier this week found the veteran leader guilty of submitting annual financial statements, some dating back to the 1990s, late or incomplete.

Late Thursday, two of the judges agreed to suspend Somare for 14 days, overruling the third who wanted the 74-year-old dismissed from office, Somare's spokeswoman and daughter Betha Somare told AFP.

"It was a three-man bench and that was his dissenting opinion," she said from Port Moresby.

"But we go by the majority so the opinion of the two other judges holds."

The prime minister will spend the two weeks on leave in his East Sepik electorate, leaving hand-picked deputy Sam Abal in charge.

In announcing the decision, tribunal chairman Roger Gyles said that there was "no serious culpability warranting dismissal," Australian news agency AAP reported.

"The prime minister is suspended from office without pay from and including April 4 for 14 days," he said.

But dissenting judge Robin Auld said the prime minister's attitude towards the charges showed "a disregard bordering on disdain for his constitutional obligations".

"It would be bad enough in the case of any leader, but it is particularly reprehensible for one of his high standing and influential involvement in the initiation of the leadership code," he said.

In a statement, Somare apologised for his "administrative oversight" and said he had "full faith" in deputy Abal to run the government in his absence.

"As a leader, I take full responsibility for failing to fulfil certain administrative aspects of my duties and responsibilities of leadership by submitting several late and incomplete returns to the Ombudsman Commission," he said.

Betha Somare said the decision needed to be seen in the context of Papua New Guinea politics, in which Somare has been a central figure for four decades, and was the country's first prime minister after independence in 1975.

"He is not a politician like they have in Australia, or places like that," she said.

"There has to be, I guess, an understanding of Papua New Guinea. Everybody watched this very public, if you like, humiliation of him for the last couple of months and I think the majority of Papua New Guineans were very relieved at the judgment made by two of the three (judges).

"I guess there was a sense of relief throughout the country."

Somare has given little indication he will retire from politics in PNG which is on the cusp of a resources boom thanks to the development of gas deposits which is expected to double the nation's GDP

Rebel hits out against mine talks

By GORETHY KENNETH

BOUGAINVILLE’S feared rebel Me’ekamui hardliner Chris Uma has lashed out at the Autonomous Bougainville Government and the Panguna landowners for talking about the mine re-opening before addressing outstanding issues.
Mr Uma, who still has a big following in Bougainville said this was not the time to talk about the mine re-opening but speak on issues at hand.
He said the responsible authorities should address the issue of compensation, and sorting out all other outstanding issues before speaking of re-opening of the mine.
Mr Uma claimed all authorities concerned have erred in their move to progress the talks on the mine re-opening because the “paitman” or rebel fighters had been left out of the talks so far.
“We the fighters and I am speaking on behalf of all of us from Buin, Kieta and Buka are not happy with the current talks on the re-opening of the mine,” Mr Uma said angrily.
“We should address the problems we faced during the crisis and the outstanding issues.
“We should not go straight to opening the Panguna Mine.
“Lives were lost, damages done and we can’t ignore these things and pretend that we are okay.
“Bougainville is not yet normal, there are still issues we still have to sort out first.
“Things like compensation, I also want the mine pit measurement looked at and people compensated fairly for the damages done to this hole.
“We have to address and settle this before we can start talking about mine re-opening.”
Mr Uma was claiming that they were deliberately left out of the meetings but said if this continued they’ll be just happy to fight as they were fighters without real jobs.
