Der US-Präsident muss auf eine seiner Lieblingsbeschäftigungen verzichten - aus Angst vor späterer Veröffentlichung

Washington. US-Präsident George W. Bush hat aus Sicherheitsgründen eine seiner Lieblingsbeschäftigungen aufgegeben: das Schreiben von privaten E-Mails. Er wolle nicht, dass seine elektronische Privatpost eines Tages von Journalisten oder der Öffentlichkeit gelesen werde, sagte Bush am Donnerstag zur Begründung. Welche Inhalte die Öffentlichkeit erregen würden, hat Bush allerdings nicht verraten.

Nach US-Recht dürfen die E-Mails unter bestimmten Bedingungen veröffentlicht werden, da sie als Regierungsdokumente gelten. Die Entscheidung, auf private Briefe im Internet zu verzichten, fiel dem Präsidenten nicht leicht. "Ich war ein glühender Anhänger der elektronischen Botschaften", gestand er vor dem Kongress der US-Zeitungsverleger.

Er habe insbesondere an seinen Vater, Ex-Präsident George Bush, und seine Töchter gerne geschrieben. (afp/rp)

Wahrscheinlich wärs ihm peinlich, wenn seine "genialen" Texte veröffentlicht würden... Jaja, so hat er wenigstens noch ein paar Berater. Aber stellt Euch nur vor seine eigenen "Gedanken" würden veröffentlicht... Lustig hätten wirs.
