StreamingAsia Tochter erhält Auftrag eine online IT-Lösung für Regierungsbehörden von Hong Kong zu entwickeln

Los Angeles - 7. März, 2001 - The Hartcourt Companies Inc. (OTC: HRCT; Frankfurt: HCT), www.hartcourt.com, gaben heute den Vertragsabschluß zwischen dem Department of Printing ("Ministerium für Druckwesen") der Hong Konger Regierung und LogicSpace Limited ("LogicSpace") über die Schaffung und den Support einer E-Ordering Lösung. LogicSpace wird dem Ministerium eine umfassende Packetlösung liefern, angefangen mit Serverinstallation, Back-end Softwareentwicklung, Datenbankmanagement, Systemsicherheit, Websiteentwicklung bis zu Wartung und Support. LogicSpace ist eine Tochter von StreamingAsia Limited ("StreamingAsia"), Hong Kongs führender Webcaster, welcher audio und video Übertragungen und Streaminglösungen für Unternehmen, Organisationen und Contentpublizisten anbietet. Hartcourt hält 50% an StreamingAsia Limited.

Die chinesische Regierung beabsichtigt ihre Informationssysteme zu digitalisieren und die Effizienz ihre Regierungsbüros zu verbessern. Das Department of Printing wird als erstes das E-Orderingsystem erproben um eventuell später die gegenwärtige manuelle Bestellweise zu ersetzen. Das Department of Justice , der Verwaltungsbereich des Government Secretariat, das Department of Goverment Supplies und das Department of Information Services planne dem System in den nächsten Monaten beizutreten.

Durch die Benutzung des Backbonenetzes der Regierung können die partizipierenden Regierungsstellen ihre Druckanträge via Webbrowser übermitteln, sie erhalten eine Bestätigung für die Orderparameter und die Druckexemplare um Fehldrucke zu vermeiden. Nur Nutzer mit einem e-Zertifikat, welche die Erlaubnis haben Druckaufträge für ihr Ministerium zu erteilen, erhalten Zugang zu dem System. LogicSpaces E-Orderingsystem wird nicht nur Verwaltungsaufwand und -kosten verringern, sondern auch die extra Kosten minimieren, die typischerweise mit menschlichen Irrtümern einhergehen. Das Department of Printing erwartet einen deutlichen Anstieg der Effizienz, Produktabwicklung und Genauigkeit.

Dieses Abkommen strebt danach die Einkommensströme von LogicSpace auszuweiten, indem es zusätzliche Kapazitäten bereitstellt, um die verschiedenen Bedürfnisse der Kunden zufriedenzustellen. Es wird erwartet, daß beide Parteien von diesem Abkommen profitieren werden, da es eine bedeutende Zahl von neuen Kooperationsmöglichkeiten anziehen dürfte.

StreamingAsia Unit Receives Contract To Create Online IT Solutions For Hong Kong Government Agencies

Los Angeles, CA 3/7/01 -The Hartcourt Companies, Inc. (OTC: HRCT, Frankfurt: HCT), www.hartcourt.com today announced the signing of a contract between the Hong Kong Government's Department of Printing and LogicSpace Limited ("LogicSpace") for the creation and support of an E-Ordering solution. LogicSpace will provide an all-inclusive web solution to the Department ranging from server installation, back-end software development, database management, system security and website development to maintenance and support. LogicSpace is a subsidiary of StreamingAsia Limited ("StreamingAsia"), Hong Kong's leading Internet Broadcaster providing comprehensive audio and video delivery or streaming solutions to businesses, professionals, organizations and content publishers. Hartcourt owns 50% of StreamingAsia Limited.

The Chinese Government's aim is to digitalize information systems and improve operational efficiency within government bureaus. The Department of Printing will be the first to adopt the E-Ordering system as a test-bed for the eventual replacement the current manual ordering method. The Department of Justice, Administration Wing of the Government Secretariat, Department of Government Supplies and the Department of Information Services are scheduled join the system over the next few months.

Using the Government's Backbone Network, participating Government Branches can submit their printing requisition orders via web browser interface, enabling confirmation of order parameters and print examples to avoid waste. Only e-certificate users who have been authorized to issue printing orders on behalf of their Departments will be authenticated for access to the system. LogicSpace's E-Ordering system will not only lessen the administration workload and be cost effective for the Government Departments, it will also minimize the extra costs typically associated with human errors. The Department of Printing anticipates significant increases in efficiency, product turn around time, and accuracy.
