FANTASTIC PROMOTES PETER BARRIS TO VICE PRESIDENT OF THE AMERICAS


Barris' expertise will play key role in Fantastic's American business strategy

New York, Zug (Switzerland) - February 09, 2001 - The Fantastic Corporation today announced the promotion of Peter Barris to Vice President of the Americas with responsibility for sales, marketing, customer support, channel partner management and business development in that region, with immediate effect.


Barris will be based in Boston and report to Chief Operating Officer David Wilf. "Peter Barris' track record as a management leader in the high-tech industry will make a significant contribution to Fantastic's delivery of end-to-end broadband solutions that give our customers a superior communications alternative" said Wilf.


Barris is an experienced general management executive in developing business and strategy plans, product plans, distribution strategies and negotiating acquisitions. Prior to joining Fantastic, Barris served as Vice President of Sales & Services and General Manager for WebManage Technologies and as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Support for Netect, Inc. At Netect, Inc., Barris was tasked with developing and implementing a worldwide distribution strategy, a channel marketing program and technical support organization. In addition, Barris spent 12 years in direct sales, support and service for IBM where he was a member of the New England executive team and spearheaded the first networking practice in New England. He also spent 4 years at Bay Networks managing worldwide partnerships with companies such as Unisys, IBM, HP and EDS.
