eines Atomsprenkopfes bzw. einer kleinen Wasserstoffbombe wäre wahrscheinlich von Anfang an das Beste, Sauberste und Einfachste gewesen, aber die Menschen haben seit dem kalten Krieg zuviel Angst (wer kanns ihnen verdenken) vor allem was mit Atom und Bombe zu tun hat.

Das wäre in einem westlichen Land nie und nimmer durchgegangen - die Bevölkerung hätte einen nie dagewesenen Aufstand veranstaltet. Außerdem wäre es dann zu einer millitärischen Operation geworden und BP hätte die Zügel auf jeden Fall aus der Hand geben müssen.

Russland hat das schon ein paar Mal mit Erfolg gemacht, aber da konnte (und kann man) solche Sachen noch verschleiern.

Hoffen wir das es auch so bald geschlossen werden kann - die Enlastungsbohrungen sollten ja bald so weit sein. Die derzeitigen Versuche sind meiner Meinung nach nur dazu da damit man ihnen nicht vorwirft "ihr macht ja nichts".

Könnte ein Zeichen dafür sein, daß etwas positives passiert ist

daß BP zweigt, daß kein Öl mehr Austritt.

habe mich auch mit BP eingedeckt mit 3,9 EK, verspreche mir viel von der Aktie, die halte ich langfristig, hoffe, dass die Umweltschäden alle bereinigt werden.

NEW ORLEANS – BP says oil from its broken well has  stopped gushing into the Gulf of Mexico for the first  time since April. The announcement Thursday came after company  officials said all valves had been shut on a new cap over  the busted well in an experiment to stop the spill. Kent Wells, a BP PLC vice president, said at a news  briefing that oil stopped flowing into the water at 2 :25  p.m. CDT. It was a long-awaited milestone in one of the nation's  worst environmental disasters. While not a permanent  solution to plug the busted well, the success in  capturing the oil spewing out was welcome news. The crisis began when BP's deepwater rig exploded,  killing 11  workers. The cap is not a permanent fix. BP is drilling two relief  wells so it can pump mud and cement into the leaking  well in hopes of plugging it for good. THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. - die Umwelt, es tritt endlich kein Öl mehr aus...
- BP, selbsterklärend, so denke ich...
- und, last but not least, die Aktionäre...

nice, nice...  und erst der Vorgeschmack auf weitere Kurssteigerungen...    ...wenn das Loch endgültig dicht ist..  .. ach ja, da soll noch der eine oder andere Mitwettbewerber interessiert sein an BP... ja, ja, so schnell kanns gehen...

Hoffnungsschimmer bei der Ölpest. BP bringt Ölfluss im Golf  von Mexiko erstmals zum Stehen. Die neue Vorrichtung dichtet das Bohrloch ab.

Viele Bilder ruckeln und zuckeln, weil sich TAUSENDE gleichzeitig davon überzeugen wollen, ob die POSITIV-Meldungen dieses eine mal Tat-sächlich STIMMEN.

Wer will es diesen Leuten, ins Besondere jenen an der Golf-KÜSTE, denn auch verdenken, dass sie sich PERSÖNLCH davon überzeugen wollen, ob ihre aufkeimende Freude endlich eine solide BASIS hat oder leider doch wieder NICHT?

Wie DIE in denen letzten Monaten GELITTEN haben, können wir nur ERAHNEN. - Ich jeden Falles habe für die momentane Überlastung vollstes Verständnis und stelle mich dies Mal geduldig an's ENDE vor denen Live-Cameras (in deren Warte-Schlange ich die letzten Wochen des Öfteren ganz am ANFANG stand). - Soviel Geduld muss sein!

Well Integrity Test Commences on MC252 well

Following installation of the capping stack and in line with the procedure approved by the National Incident Commander and Unified Area Command, the well integrity test on the MC252 well commenced today. including biofuels.

The well integrity test will last at least 6 hours and could last up to 48 hours. During the test, the three ram capping stack is closed, effectively shutting in the well and all sub-sea containment systems (namely, the Q4000 and Helix Producer systems) have been temporarily stopped. Although it cannot be assured, it is expected that no oil will be released to the ocean during the test. Even if no oil is released during the test, this will not be an indication that oil and gas flow from the wellbore has been permanently stopped.
Information gathered during the test will be reviewed with the relevant government agencies, including the federal science team, to determine next steps.

The sealing cap system never before has been deployed at these depths or under these conditions, and its efficiency and ability to contain the oil and gas cannot be assured.

During the well integrity test, operations on the first relief well have been temporarily stopped while the well was at 17,840 ft as a precaution. Operations on the second relief well have been temporarily suspended at 15,874 feet to ensure that there is no interference with the first relief well. The relief wells remain the sole means to permanently seal and isolate the well.

5,xx EUR vorauszusagen war ja nun wirklich kein Kunststück^^  

Die Überlastung derer LIVE-Cameras geht langsam wieder ZURÜCK, was man zuverlässig daran erkennt, dass die Bild-Aussetzer momentan wieder weniger werden.

Ich beginne also JETZT mit der (zunächst nur optischen) Erfolgs-Controlle an ALLEN derzeit bekannten LIVE-Cameras, wobei ich mir für jede derer 12++ Cameras maximal 1/2 Stunde eingeplant habe.

Noch eine Bitte an jene 2-3 Users, die es betrifft: Sollte ich an irgendeiner derer einschlägigen Stellen weiterhin ÖL-Austritte festellen, so nehmt von NEGATIV!-NEGATIV!-Vorwürfen bitte dennoch ein wenig Abstand.

Ich bin nicht der Mann, der das ÖL austreten lässt. - Ich versuche nur, Zeit-nah (und dennoch GENAU) zu - berichten...
