Wohl selten hat eine BOC HV soviel Aufsehen erregt u. so hochkarätige Besucher angezogen wie in diesem Jahr.Mit Sam Akoitai u. Leo Hannett waren gleich 2 Ex Mining Minister anwesend.Dass die Panguna Landowner Association noch am gleichen Abend mit uns eine Press Release redigiert hat in der sie BOC auffordert zum Mining auf B´ville zurückzukehren zeigt dass sie keine weitere Zeit mehr verlieren wollen.Eine sich in Vorbereitung befindliche Pressemeldung der ESBC wird nun BOC,AGB u. PLA auffordern sich gemeinsam an einen Tisch zu setzen und ein neues bzw. upgedatetes BCA zu ratifizieren.Die Zustimmung dazu von BOC u. PLA kann als gesichert gelten und somit liegt der Ball dann beim ABG. Kabui ist wegen dem Invincible Deal von seiten aller Landeigner schwer unter Druck, die Rücktrittsforderungen an ihn werden immer lauter.Gut möglich also dass er als Ablenkung das Interesse aller B´viller auf Panguna lenken könnte,zumal er dort die Zustimmung der Landeigner gewiss sein könnte.Dazu auch ein Statement von gestern.

I thank God for this piece of news.  This is exactly what I was longing to hear in midst of all the corrupt dealings by ABG.  
But we know what BCL is capable of doing, both good and bad.  On the good side, we know BCL is capable of making Bougainville a 1st world country if people are willing.

On the bad side, please make good by listening to the small people and make whole of the Bougainvillians feel winners.And most importantly please no more environmental damages.  So long as the waste disposal is contained, to me, BCL should be welcome-back good news for all Bougainvillians.

Collective efforts needed for change

THE FUTURE of Bougainville is in the peoples’ hands and they must believe in what they want to make it a reality, Autonomous Bougainville Government vice president John Tabinaman said.
People should not depend on others but be co-operative with each other to make changes in the region, Mr Tabinaman said.
He said it was important to create new life by “proving ourselves to do things on our own and also to work together in spirit’’.
Mr Tabinaman said there were good signs ahead in terms of Bougainville’s development. “We have to make it come true if there is reconciliation and disposal of weapons. Let’s make it for the people of Bougainville,” he said.
“There is no other way but only through reconciliation even if there will be shortfalls.”
Meanwhile, outspoken Central Bougainville leader David Sisito has urged leaders not to waste time playing politics.
“We need to create an environment that is conducive for everyone in the region,’’ Mr Sisito said.
He paid tribute to those who had died during the crisis.
He said they had fought to save the people of Bougainville.
“They have fought for freedom because it is the fundamental right for Bougainville,” Mr Sisito said.
He said a collective effort should be made to help create changes in the region.
“I therefore ask the leaders to mentor the Autonomous Bougainville Government and think about peace and reconciliation,” Mr Sisito said.
“If this is not done then this will a failed referendum. We have to help those who have fought during the crisis to reconcile. Money will not compensate the lives of those who have died during the crisis.”  

die Frage nach einem Großinvestor stellt sich doch gar nicht, bei den - auch nach den Darstellungen des ESBC - geringen freien Aktien,

es wird also darauf ankommen, ob BCL den inneren Wert der Aktie tatsächlich zu realisieren in der Lage ist,

ich persönlich denke, dass die Chancen nicht so schlecht stehen - nur meine Meinung, klar,

an der Börse werden halt auch sehr gute Chancen gegen Totalverlustrisiken gehandelt,

und das ist wohl aktuell die Situation von BCL, Garantien gibt es keine ...  

sollte heute oder Morgen in den Zeitungen veröffentlicht werden. ;-)))

Um die Pangunamine wird im Moment eine Umfrage mit Unterschriftenaktion unter den 510 Leaseholders zu der Wiedereröffnung durch BOC durchgeführt.Bis jetzt ist die Zustimmung überwältigend.

Die Bougainville Constitution besagt klar u. deutlich "the land and the minerals belong to the landowners",somit kann sich das ABG eigentlich kaum wiedersetzen,zumal PNG immer noch das letzte Wort hat. ;-)))  

Scheint doch nicht ganz geklappt zu haben ;-(

THE opening of the Aropa airport in the Autnoumous Region of Bougainville has been deferred.
This is because the Minister for Transport and Civil Aviation, Don Polye has put off the trip.
No new date has been set.
The Aropa airport rehabilitation program started with the “pre-cleansing and reconciliation” which was held before the official opening, which was supposed to take place last week.
According to a notice from the Member for Central Bougainville Jimmy Miringtoro to the people, especially those Central Bougainville, Mr Polye had cancelled his trip to Aropa because of problems “beyond his control”. Mr Miringtoro said a new date would be set when he returned to Port Moresby.
He also said Mr Polye wanted to spend a week in Bougainville to assess the roads on the islands so he would set the new date accordingly.
Mr Miringtoro said Mr Polye wanted to spend a week or two in Bougainville to assess all road systems on the island “and therefore his deferral from last Friday would be compensated by his stay in Bougainville for a few weeks’’.
Meanwhile, the Central Bougainville community prepared well for the pre-cleansing and reconciliation ceremony and the official opening of the Aropa airport that has been deferred from last week.  

ESBC: Strong Support for Landowner’s Claim.



The European Shareholders of Bougainville Copper Ltd (ESCB) strongly support the landowner’s claim for re-opening the giant Panguna mine on Bougainville as recently expressed. ESBC President Axel G. Sturm pointed out on Wednesday in Singapore, that there must be a new approach in all activities concerning the resuming of mining in Bougainville. “We are very much satisfied that the landowners made this first and important step towards BCL,” said Mr. Sturm, “that shows us that a lot of people in Bougainville want BCL come back home to work on the island. Now it is up to the ABG and to the PNG government to make sure that there will be permanent peace and security applied.” Mr. Sturm underlined that without peace and security no investor would give any money to rebuild the island’s damaged infrastructure. Especially the environmental damage due to the sudden departure of mine workers in 1989 caused by the aggression of rebels have to be repaired as quick as possible: “Only a very big mining company like BCL can shoulder a task like this,” said Mr. Sturm, “Also the damage by uncontrolled mining and the use of mercury to separate the gold caused a deep impact to the environment that is supposed to be even higher. Today’s modern mining can provide environmental caring methods of high standard. We absolutely do not want that there will be another young generation in Bougainville that must grow up without education and without a vision of a brilliant future. Only mining can earn the financial funding for progress in Bougainville. The landowners understood and accepted their responsibility for future.”

Good news – 33 years ago it was BCL that supported PNG gained independence in 1975.  I’m sure the same can be repeated for Bougainville if BCL returns.

Who built the best sealed road in PNG (Bougainville)? Today South Bougainvilleans travel to Buka via this road...made over the rugged terrains of Crown Prince Range....If it was not for BCL South Bougainvilleans would be using ships..or walking over the now closed by landslip at Deuro Range for them to get to Buka.



Goods were shipped to Kieta or Loloho much cheaper than what we are now experiencing.

A land cruiser is 7000 kina expensive in Bougainville (Buka) than in Port Moresby or Lae because of the freight involved. Most cargoes were shipped to Bougainville at low cost because there was volume involved with BCL cargo and thus cost was low.



Most operations were done in Arawa Hospital and specialist doctors were coming to Bougainville and using the facilities which were made by BCL for its employees and the general Bougainville community. Again the sick were saving money.

So yes we did have the money when BCL was there. Life was good...

There is no zero tolerance on environmental damage...You can only try and minimise to accepted levels. All stake holders need to discuss and come to some agreement.

Bougainvilleans would want to enjoy the good life as those in Australia or ???

Uma ist kein Landeigner.

Er ist nicht prinzipiell gegen Mining,ist jedoch der Meinung dass damit erst wieder nach der Unabhängigkeit Bougainvilles von PNG begonnen werden sollte.

Es gilt ihm klarzumachen dass es ohne finanzielle auch keine politische Unabhängigkeit geben kann.Darüber sind wir jetzt mit ihm am diskutieren ;-)))))  

haben wir diesen schon ? Inhaltlich sicher.

Aus dem PNG Parlament können im Moment keine Mails mehr versendet werden,weil die

Was redest du da wieder? Unfassbar, aber auch wiederum nicht überraschend.  

Dass auch die ESBC mit ihrem Invest Geld verdienen wollen ist doch wohl nur legitim.
Trotzdem schliesst das nicht aus die Landeigner finanziell u. logistisch zu unterstützen.
Dass sich Sam Akatoi u. Leo Hannett,beide Bougainviller u. Ex Mining Minister (u wohl einer der beiden zukünftiger Nachfolger Kabuis) zu Gesprächen mit uns im Crowne Plaza eingefunden haben beweist wohl dass die ESBC von der Bougainviller Bevölkerung weitaus positiver wahrgenommen werden als hier einige Witzbolde glauben machen wollen. ;-))))))

Wie der Sharepreis sich entwickeln wird zeigt wohl die Zukunft.Dass BOC wohl immer volatiler wird kann auch den Tradern unter den ESBC Mitgliedern nur recht sein.Im Moment gibt noch der ASX Kurs den Ton an,obwohl m.M. nach der grösste Teil der noch verfügbaren BOC Shares (incl.ADR's) sich schon längst ausserhalb von AU befinden u. der Markt dort immer weiter austrocknet.(Eine Nachfrage von 217K am 9.5. dem Tag nach der HV, hat in der Spitze für ein Kursplus von knapp 30% gesorgt)Wenn die Landeignerforderung an Kabui nach Wiedereröffnung der Panguna Mine vom Parlament (welches am 15 Juni wieder zusammentritt)positiv beschieden wird dürfte der Sharepreis die Pritzker Offerte von 1994 (3,35 USD) wohl toppen.
Im Gegensatz zu einigen hochgejubelten Explorer Klitschen hat BOC unzweifelhaft nachgewiesene Reserven (incl.7 zusätzlicher Lizenzen von denen Atamo sogar noch die Panguna Mine toppt),an der ASX gut angelegte Cashreserven,einen sehr grossen steuerlich relevanten Verlustvortrag,keine Hauptaktionäre die ihre billig oder gratis erworbenen Shares an unbedarfte Kleinanleger abladen wollen,einen über 20 Jahre hochprofitablen Track Record mit konstant hohen Dividenden,dem Mining positiv eingestellte Landeigner,eine vom PNG Parlament abgegebene Garantie dass das ABG sich an bestehende Verträge halten muss,u. eine sehr solvente Muttergesellschaft.

Insgesamt bietet BOC also gigantische Chancen bei einem überschaubarem Risiko,welches nur im Zeitfaktor begründet ist.Auch sollten die allermeisten ESBC Mitglieder schon auf ansehnlichen Buchgewinnen sitzen,was das Warten wohl auch noch zusätzlich erleichtert.Wer jetzt einige Cts Gewinne mitnimmt riskiert bei dem zu erwartenden grossen Sprung eben nicht dabei zu sein ;-))))))))

wie siehst Du denn die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass die Landeignerforderung nach der Wiedereröffnung der Panguna Mine vom Parlament behandelt wird, und wenn ja, wie stehen die Chancen, dass es positiv verabschiedet wird.

Wenn es dazu kommen sollte, könnte es in der Tat recht schnell gen Norden gehen, dann sollte man schon investiert sein, das ist natürlich immer so das Problem beim Traden...

Welche Milestones stehen denn sonst noch so die nächsten Wochen an?

Nächsten Monat beginnt das 16 Mio Träningsprogramm der Weltbank für das Mining Ministerium B'villes in Arawa.

Im Juli findet dann das nächste PNG/AGB Meeting in Manus statt,bei dem es um die übertragung der Miningpower u.BOC Shares ans ABG gehen soll.

Lawrence ist jetzt dabei von seinen 510 Panguna Leaseholder die Zustimmung zu dem ausgearbeiteten Draft Supplemental BCA zu bekommen u. tut alles damit es auf dem JSB Meeting schon verabschiedet werden kann.Dabei wird er von Jimmy Miringtoro,dem aktuellen PNG Mining Minister unterstützt.

Im August soll dann auch laut Peter Taylor die jetzt in Arbeit befindliche Boc Feasability Studie vorgestellt werden.Ohne hierzu weitere Details veröffentlichen zu wollen kann man sagen das BOC (u.RT) auf allen Ebenen weitere Fäden zieht.Hier geht es schliesslich um RTs "Crownjuwel"

Durch das Up-grade von Panguna mit Arawa als eigenständiger District B'villes (für den Lawrence in 2010 kandidieren will)haben auch die Landeigner weiteren Einfluss gewonnen ihre ökonomischen Vorstellungen durchzusetzen.Man sollte nicht vergessen dass sich unter den Bougainviller u. den Landeignern jede Menge,wenn auch grösstenteils Kleinaktionäre befinden.

Unabhängig davon ist in PNG,dem "Land of the unexpected" jedoch jederzeit alles möglich.

Sowie ich die Zustimmung von Lawrence erhalte werde ich das überarbeitete Landowners Proposal mit den aktuellen Zahlen hier reinstellen.Dann sollte auch dem letzten BOCs gigantisches Potential klarwerden. ;-)))))))))))))))

Steht zwar im EUGS Thread,passt aber haargenau auf BOC,nur dass es da keine Insolvenz als "Konsevierer" der Assets gab sondern die Dauer der "Crisis",
