...Last week's disclosure marked the first time Ricchetti's K Street firm filed a disclosure listing Amazon. But Ricchetti filed two other forms in December, both detailing lobbying efforts for other healthcare clients.

For Evofem Biosciences, a biopharmaceutical company, Ricchetti's lobbying on "federal health policies pertaining to coverage for contraceptive services." For Vaxart, a vaccine development firm, he's lobbying on "legislative and regulatory policies regarding oral vaccine development and funding," according to his disclosure.

Am 2.2 findet eine Webkonferenz statt bei der gefühlt sämtliche großen Pharma Unternehmen der USA dabei sind.
Sprecher unter anderem ist aber auch Mr. Sean Tucker von Vaxart.
Schirmherr ist wohl Herr Fauci, DER Immunologe der USA und ein Herr von Warp Speed.
Operation Warp Speed ​​ist eine öffentlich-private Partnerschaft, die von der US-Regierung initiiert wurde, um die Entwicklung, Herstellung und den Vertrieb von COVID-19-Impfstoffen, -Therapeutika und -Diagnostika zu erleichtern und zu beschleunigen.

Mal sehen ob vorab ein paar News Seitens Vaxart bekannt gegeben werden. In der letzten Präsentation war von klinischen Daten zu Phase 1 ein Zeitraum von Q4 2020 - Jan.2021 die Rede.

Doch es werden News kommen - hier meine Reihung nach Wahrscheinlichkeit:

1) Gute Phase 1 Ergebnisse mit massivem OWS funding (OWS Chief sagte bekanntlich:“ The holy grail would be a one-dose oral tablet, we have one on phase 1“).  Vaxart hatte Phase 1 Resultate für den Jänner angekündigt - und der dauert bekanntlich nicht mehr allzu lange.

2) Take over.  Eine generische orale Impftechnologie, die prinzipiell für alle Impfungen verwendet werden kann, ist die ultimative Bedrohung für alle großen Impfstoffhersteller. Nicht weil Vaxart so schnell für alle Impfungen orale Versionen auf den Markt bringen könnte, sondern weil ein großer Konkurrent Vaxart übernehmen könnte. Dann schon eher selber übernehmen, diese Technologie selber verwenden (oder notfalls in der Schublade belassen). 5-10 Milliarden sind üblich. Aktuell beträgt die Marktkapitalisierung 1 Mrd.

3) Robinhooders.......Typisch dafür wären mehrere Tage hintereinander massive Anstiege zwischen 15 und 80 %.

Alle 3 Szenarien würden  den Aktienpreis noch gut verfünffachen, potentiell noch mehr.

Das Risiko hier hält sich mM in engen Grenzen, denn Phase 1 Ergebnisse werden gut sein und sie werden noch diese Woche im Jänner kommen.

Are you nervous about next week? I am not! And I tell you why:

1) I have seen the preliminary safety data from the phase 1 on the type of adverse events observed in the vaccinated people. These are exactly the same type of adverse events which always can be seen in vaccines which work and they are clinical signs of the immune response which include also upregulating of some cytokines which cause the symptoms. They are basically the same line the day before you get the flu. Such effects have been also reported for Pfizer and Moderna. They are always seen when a vaccine works. Check out yourself if you are nervous - it will add to your confidence and calm.

2) I have said it several times here; this phase 1 is NOT a blinded study, but an OPEN label study (google: NCT04563702 ). And this means that the people at Vaxart MUST know at least since mid of December more or less the data, the first results on the immune response since November !

Would they hire so many high qualified (and well paid) staff related to production, if this phase 1 trial failed to show not only good safety data but also very promising data on the immune response ? Would the have moved to their new building ?

Phase 1 will be positive and this will trigger OWS money days of a very weeks after.

The world will need adapted vaccines and it won’t be enough to vaccinate the people in developed countries. The global population must be vaccinated - otherwise we will get again again new variants and we will be always some months behind the new variants spreading again around the globe.

The biggest weapon (or holy grail) we can use to fight this virus would be a DNA vector vaccine, because they can be adapted and produced faster than any other vaccine. Add that the Vaxart Tablett is the only vaccine which can be stored and transported at room temperatur. Alone these points make Vaxart to the best (so far only theoretical) solution. But on top we do not need a needle (another constrain less). That means also the time per vaccination will be much shorter. No queue (no infection risk), no waiting, no infection risk in African countries (reused needles), easy deliver by post or even my bike, Jeep, motorbike etc in Africa.....

If phase 1 is positiv - OWS simply cannot miss this opportunity, actually this duty to provide massive funding for Vaxart. Good that we know from the OWS Chief how he thinks about the „oral vaccine in phase 1).

Now that it seems that new variants threaten global economies even beyond this first round of vaccination and that we will need future updates/adapted vaccines, the potential role Vaxart could play in this global fight has significantly increased. IMO it is granted that soon after phase I OWS will massively fund Vaxart. Maybe we will get already first infos with phase 1 results that vaxart was invited to discuss with OWS......  

Close or Tuesday. Wednesday Vaxart will talk and present at the NY Academy of Science with keynote speakers Fauci and OWS Chief Slaoui.

At that time of Vaxarts presentations the results will be already out. Soon after the results - OWS will announce funding for Vaxart. Mark my words.  

Hat auch etwas Gutes = ein Hype hierzulande. Der kommt erst.  

Es sind ja nicht nur aktuell gerade 30 % plus sondern am Freitag waren es ja auch ungefähr so viel.
Anfang der letzten Woche waren es noch Kurse um die 7 Euro und nun stehen wir über 11.
Warten wir mal ab was in den USA heute passiert und ob weitere Infos folgen.

Ich persönlich setze mir keine Kursziele weil ich es schlicht nicht einschätzen kann.
 

das Vaxart über eine orale Einnahme versucht dem Corona-Virus beizukommen. Und das wenn es gelingt ein abolutes Blockbuster-Potential da ist! Ich habe zwar auch erst nach und nach aufgestockt, aber so langsam sollte es sich auch hier in Deutschland rumgesprochen haben was hier geschehen könnte!

Der Kurssprung am Freitag war schon amtlich, heute gehts munter weiter. Ich freue mich neben Novavax hier rechtzeitig reingegangen zu sein :0)

Wenn ich es recht verstanden habe im Ami-Forum, werden Faucci und dem Chef der Operation Warp Speed die Ergebnisse am Mittwoch präsentiert. Das sollte bei Wohwollen für einen Breakthrough sorgen, der uns katapultartig weit nach oben schießen läßt und die vorsichtigen Analysten Lügen straft :0)  

Wenn das Gesamtpaket (Wirksamkein, Sicherheit, Lager- und Transportfähigkeit) betrachtet ist seit letztere Woche Novavax die klare No 1 -  und die Differenz zur Marktkapitalisierung (nur 1/4 von Moderna) wird sich über die nächsten Wochen und Monate verringern), wobei beide weiter steigen werden durch die Bedrohung neuer Mutationen/Varianten, was zumindest eine 2. Impfstoffrunde (dabei ist Novavax dann schon gleichauf) notwendig macht, eher sogar regelmäßige Adaptierungen der Impfstoffe.

Diese instabilen RNA Impfstoffe werde für die zukünftigen Impfrunden sicher nicht die besten und praktikabelsten Impfstoffe sein, sondern Novavax - derzeit.

"Derzeit" deshalb, weil natürlich ein DNA-Vektorimpfstoff in Tabettenform die ansolute No 1 wäre im Kampf gegen diese Pandemie weltweit. Zudem - es handelt sich bei Vaxart um eine generische Plattformtechnik, das heisst, wenn dies hier gelingt, könnte es zukünftig für jede andere derzeit bestehende zu injizierender Impfung eine orale Vaxart version geben. Das werden sich die grossen Impfstoffhersteller wohl nicht gefallen lassen und es wird zu einer Übernahmeschlacht kommen mit Vaxart als Zielobjekt. Gute Phase 1 Ergebnisse, die meiner Meinung nach heute oder morgen kommen werden) wären ein grosser Schritt in diese Richtung.

Im Gegensatz zu extrem instabliler RNA ist DNA bekanntlich extrem stabil. Damit wäre Vaxart tatsächlich ein Blockbuster.  

Schon einmal die richtige Richtung, mal gucken ob wir ab 13 Uhr noch einen Boost bekommen.
