"Former First Deputy Prime Minister Joomart Otorbaev (currently acting prime minister) is the shoo-in candidate to lead the new government, which should be announced on April 2 and is unlikely to change MUCH.
A dapper physicist who once ran Philips"s operations in Central Asia and then took a senior post with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, Otorbaev is widely considered well suited to address Kyrgyzstan's systemic economic problems. He would be the fourth prime minister since parliamentary elections in late 2010"...

Kyrgyzstan is interested in Russian investment, but for the competitiveness of European equipment we need - Valery Diehl
"With the appointment to the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Investment Chapter of the National Council of Germans Kyrgyzstan Valery Dil, principles of economic cooperation of our country with investors will not change dramatically. His first comment as a member of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Valery Diehl gave K-News:
'The issue of investment - it is not only the basis for the republic, but also incredibly complex. And give some country as an investor an advantage over other partners would be unwise. In a democratic state should be equal opportunities for all. In the future, we plan to enter the Customs Union, and therefore, of course, interested in Russian investment.
But, at the same time, we must not forget that the best technology - European, particularly German. Kyrgyzstan needs to reach a new, higher level of competitiveness of products, for which it is necessary to organize production, staffed the new modern equipment. And most modern equipment produced in Germany, Italy, France' - outlined economic priorities Valery Diehl.
At the same time, he said, can not forget about the nearest neighbors of Kyrgyzstan, which 'are also our partners'.
'Naturally, we will pay attention to ensuring that investments from Kazakhstan and China were in our economy. We are ready to cooperate with all countries who are willing to invest in Kyrgyzstan, while respecting the interests of our country' - said Deputy Prime Minister [Valery Di(eh)l]".
