Rakuten wesentlich besser als Rocket
And Rakuten Card Shopping GTV share compared to other card companies like ANB, generally speaking, well ANB, these are the card companies for which are affiliated with reach out businesses. And I would say they are doing fairly good, yet there are some card companies that are suffering negative growth and despite that, Rakuten Card, as you see here continues to achieve a steady growth.
Now FinTech, the Rakuten Card holders now topped 20 million. And when I mentioned about the card holders, whenever the numbers is closed, we were wondering whether our business model could be copied by others but actually we topped 20 million. In the Rakuten Bank accounts, it exceeded 9 million. Back some time ago, it was about 4 million. It has more than doubled and soon reach 10 million, especially in the case of Rakuten Securities accounts, it already reached 4.4 million. And in the industry, I would say this is the fastest growing business.

Dish today said it will make a “large purchase” of low- and mid-band O-RAN Alliance compliant radios from Fujitsu. Altiostar will also provide open RAN software alongside Mavenir, which inked a similar deal with Dish in April.
Executives at Dish and Rakuten Mobile have held regular discussions about their plans and Dish has been upfront about its desire to emulate Rakuten’s network infrastructure strategy. “Dish has an affinity for what Rakuten is doing and there will be significant commonality between the two operators in their network architectures,” said Chris Antlitz, principal analyst at Technology Business Research.

• Telco planning several trials, outside of the UAE, to evaluate Open RAN model under different use cases and network configurations.
• Open RAN to bring in diversification of RAN infrastructure ecosystem.
• The ORAN ecosystem needs some time to mature and for network operators to adjust their operational model to adopt this new model.
Dubai: Etisalat aims to gradually expand the rollout of Open vRAN across the UAE to take full advantage of all the benefits this new technology offers, its Chief Technology Officer said.
The UAE-based telecom operator was the first in the Middle East to launch an open virtual Radio Access Network (Open vRAN) in January this year.
Etisalat, in partnership with Alitostar, NEC, Cisco and others, has successfully launched the vRAN network in the Middle East and Africa in January this year and has tied up with Parallel Networks in February for O-RAN trials in the region.
Etisalat operates in 16 markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Open RAN is a wild card. U.S. tech giants including Qualcomm, Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco, Intel and Nvidia hope it will give them a chance to expand their presence in telecom equipment, where they already play a role as suppliers of routers, chips and software. Start-up companies such as Mavenir, Altiostar and Parallel Wireless, which are creating software for Open RAN and developing partnerships with the big hardware companies, could benefit too.
"The geopolitical uncertainty is providing them with a much needed entry point - it is now up to the Open RAN players to capitalize on this opportunity and show that they are ready for prime time," said Stefan Pongratz of market research firm Dell'Oro.
Wireless carriers are enthusiastic about Open RAN in principle, because it could reduce their costs, but they are also nervous about security and other associated risks.

So far 2020 has hit people hard, especially financially. That’s why I want to share with you a way I make a little bit of extra cash. Before this year I was earning most of my cashback on travel. Obviously that isn’t happening as much this year, but there are still so many things I purchase online. And, for the majority of those shopping trips, Rakuten rewards me with cashback.
Rakuten is basically an affiliate site! They partner with hundreds of websites and those stores will pay Rakuten a commission for sending us their way. Rakuten then shares that with people like you and me, by giving us cashback on every qualifying purchase.
