Blockbuster insolvent - der Zock beginnt
about deadline, bidders, etc......

I wrote Rod back and asked if he anticipated the bidders being released on Friday the 1st. I also asked him how many he had doing DD at this time.
HERE IS HIS REPLY:
Once all bids are submitted and the board reviews them and confirms the “highest and best” bid for purposes of beginning the auction process and we get everything in proper form to be submitted to the court, I would say that April 1 would be the earliest this information might be available.
I will have to decline to identify the exact number of parties in the data room, but I would say that we are presently seeing activity from around a dozen parties and advisors.
I wrote to Rod to ask him when they will start posting the names of the bidders. From his email it appears the names "WILL NOT" be released until AFTER the bidding has concluded on the 31st!! SO WE WILL NOT KNOW THE BIDDERS UNTIL APRIL 1ST WOULD BE MY GUESS....

Robert:
You may have seen the milestones outlined for the process, beginning with March 31, which is the date on which bids are due for those who wish to participate in the auction. Once the bids are submitted the identity of the bidders and the most substantive bid details will be made available to the court and thus will be available to the public on the KCC website as with all other filings.
The auction will take place at the courthouse on April 4. The bid selected through the auction process will be presented to the court for approval (and comment and objection from interested parties) on April 7. The APA entered into between the company and the selected bidder will be filed in advance of the hearing on the 7th.
We do have a number of interested parties involved in various stages of the diligence process and we look forward to a robust bidding process. However, as you may imagine, it is difficult to determine from the diligence process which of the prospects may turn into live bidders.
Sentiment : Strong Buy

Re: what happens to the shares? 1-Apr-11 04:16 pm
Shareholders won't be wiped out, unless there is a high bid to cover us or until the restructure plan is complete which is up untill Oct 18,2011.

die Uncle Sam's spinnen schon a bisserl.

Danke!
