Patriot Scientific Corporation Launches New Marketing and Awareness Program with AGORACOM

CARLSBAD, Calif., March 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC) ('Patriot') today announced it has retained the services of AGORACOM Investor Relations ('AGORACOM') (http://www.agoracom.com) to provide an online marketing Web-based awareness campaign.

Patriot's aim with this agreement is to augment its current public relations and investor relations strategies in an effort to reach a new investor base, broaden the investment audience and further communicate the value of Patriot's intellectual property to the investment community at large. From strategy to execution, AGORACOM will manage the online marketing process. This new initiative will increase Patriot's marketing, branding and distribution network utilizing power of AGORACOM's relationships with the following global and industry leaders:

--  Blackberry - Exclusive provider of small-cap content to all 5,200,000
       + global devices
--  Yahoo Finance - Exclusive provider of all front-page small-cap
featured content (Canada) and exclusive provider of small-cap IR
       programs through U.S. portal
--  AOL Finance - Exclusive provider of all small-cap content (Canada)

AGORACOM's combination of legitimate, quantifiable distribution through Tier-1 websites will help create online exposure, brand awareness and marquis coverage for Patriot amongst a target audience of more than 1.3 million small- cap investors per month.

In addition, from a communications point of view, Patriot will benefit from the use of a dedicated investor relations community, webcasting, podcasting, blogging and other Web 2.0 tools that will help the company's message resonate through the entire online investment community.

David Pohl, chairman and CEO of Patriot, stated, 'We are taking this action to significantly increase our efforts to communicate with existing and potential new shareholders. Patriot Scientific is on an exciting and dramatic corporate path, with a 'David and Goliath' story.'

Pohl noted that in 2005 Patriot shifted its focus from making and marketing its microprocessor to licensing its patent portfolio. More than 400 manufacturing companies around the globe have been put on notice that they appear to be infringing on proprietary intellectual property in Patriot's jointly owned patent portfolio. Pohl said 15 major global manufacturers signed license agreements in the past 14 months, including HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson, Pentax, Olympus, Kenwood, Agilent, Lexmark, Schneider Electric, NEC Corporation and Funai Electric. Intel and AMD are also licensees. Negotiations with other well-known names and brands are ongoing.

The patents in Patriot's jointly owned portfolio, marketed as the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio, encompass fundamental design techniques that enable higher performance and lower cost digital electronic systems ranging from cell phones and portable music players to communications infrastructure and medical equipment as well as automobiles, which today utilize dozens of microprocessors.

'Patriot's presence on irrefutable Tier-1 websites will amplify the outreach of our news and corporate developments going forward,' Pohl said. 'This agreement will expand the breadth and reach of the Patriot story and should vastly increase Patriot's visibility. Our goal is to increase the public's knowledge and awareness of our company and the investment opportunity afforded by our stock.'

Hawk Associates will continue to provide daily professional IR functions including, drafting press releases, producing client profiles and addressing shareholder questions. AGORACOM will provide the online vehicle for broader distribution of information, to expand Patriot's online presence. The Hoffman Agency will continue to provide public relations counsel and media representation. Patriot Scientific Acquires Holocom Networks in Foreclosure Sale

SanDisk Becomes 15th Company to License Technology

By MIKE ALLEN
San Diego Business Journal Staff

Patriot Scientific Corp., a Carlsbad firm that generates revenue through licensing agreements it strikes with large electronics manufacturers, is diversifying by acquiring a defense contractor in foreclosure last month.

Patriot acquired Holocom Networks Inc., which installs secured communications networks for the military, after Holocom defaulted on a $600,000 loan Patriot made last year.

The foreclosure sale, in which Patriot posted the amount of the loan, took place Feb. 2, said David Pohl, Patriot chief executive.

Holocom, also based in Carlsbad, is now operated as a joint venture owned by Patriot and Scripps Ventures Inc., a local merchant banking firm.

“Holocom did about $3.5 million in revenue last year,” said John Burns, chief executive officer of Scripps Secured Data Inc., the renamed company. Burns is the CEO of Scripps Ventures.

Following the transaction, Burns cut Holocom’s staff to 20 from 50.

Pohl said Holocom approached his firm last year seeking financial help. “They were saddled with so much debt, it was like an anchor around their necks,” said Pohl.

Burns estimated that 10-year-old Holocom owed $25 million.

Major Deals

Patriot continued last year to strike licensing deals with major electronics manufacturers that use the firm’s patented microprocessing technology.

Patriot owns half the share of the patents with a Cupertino entity, The TPL Group. Through a joint venture, it has been collecting on signed licensing deals with corporations that have been using the technology contained in 10 patents.

Last year, the joint venture called Phoenix Digital Services signed $108 million in licensing agreements. Patriot was paid $48 million, Pohl said.

Twelve licensing agreements were signed last year, including some with the world’s largest electronics companies, such as Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, Casio, Sony, Epson, Nikon and Casio.

3 Mio.

Daily Commentary

Our system posted a BUY-IF today. The previous SELL recommendation was issued on 03.06.2007 (13) days ago, when the stock price was 0.6225. Since then PTSC has gained 1.20% .

A bullish pattern has developed and a BUY-IF alert is issued today. You will see if we erred slightly in the previous SELL signal. A confirmation in the next session may mean that we have underestimated the bullish power of the market. The task is now to confirm the validity of this bullish pattern. We will guide you through this process but the prime star of this game is nobody but you. First you must do your homework. A good starting point may be to keep an eye on after-hours and futures trading to get preliminary hints about the direction of the market. Related news, events, economic data, and the world stock markets should also be closely followed prior to confirmation session.

There are three possible cases of confirmation. You have to follow the next session carefully to check if these cases will hold or not:

The market opens with an upward gap, signaling a bullish sentiment in the first case. Your benchmark will be the opening price. If the prices stay over the benchmark, go long. Any white candlestick with an upward gap is a valid confirmation criterion.

In the second case, the market opens at a level, equal to or below the previous day’s close. The benchmark is that closing price. If prices during the session stay over the benchmark, go long. Any white candlestick closing above the previous day’s close is the second confirmation criterion.

If, however, in both cases, the prices during the session start coming below the benchmark, avoid buying. Sell if you feel a definite tendency in prices to close the day below the benchmark.

The third case of confirmation is rarely observed. The market opens with a big downward gap suggesting a very bearish day, and the day ends with a long white candlestick, but still closing below the previous day’s close. However, such a day satisfies the third confirmation criterion and in this case the closing price of the long white candlestick will be taken as the price of confirmation.

If one of the three confirmation criteria is not fulfilled, or in case of a black candlestick or a doji on the confirmation day, the BUY-IF alert remains valid, however without confirmation and the three confirmation criteria are then sought in the following day. The only exception is the long black candlestick. Any long black candlestick following a BUY-IF alert makes it (the signal) void and invalid.

Do not consider any new short positions given the bullish alert and the recent bullish momentum. Short sellers must cover their positions to prevent further losses, if the market confirms the BUY-IF signal.

RECOMMENDATION
We rate PATRIOT SCIENTIFIC CORP (PTSC) a HOLD. The primary factors that have impacted our rating are mixed - some indicating strength, some showing weaknesses, with little evidence to justify the expectation of either a positive or negative performance for this stock relative to most other stocks. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures and notable return on equity. However, as a counter to these strengths, we find that the growth in the company's net income has been quite unimpressive.

HIGHLIGHTS
PTSC's very impressive revenue growth greatly exceeded the industry average of 14.1%. Since the same quarter one year prior, revenues leaped by 90.0%. This growth in revenue does not appear to have trickled down to the company's bottom line, displaying stagnant earnings per share. PTSC has no debt to speak of therefore resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of zero, which we consider to be a relatively favorable sign. Along with the favorable debt-to-equity ratio, the company maintains an adequate quick ratio of 1.41, which illustrates the ability to avoid short-term cash problems.

PATRIOT SCIENTIFIC CORP has shown no change in earnings for its most recently reported quarter when compared with the same quarter a year earlier. This company has not demonstrated a clear trend in earnings over the past 2 years, making it difficult to accurately predict earnings for the coming year. During the past fiscal year, PATRIOT SCIENTIFIC CORP turned its bottom line around by earning $0.07 versus -$0.04 in the prior year. This stock's share value has moved by only 41.59% over the past year. Naturally, the overall market trend is bound to be a significant factor. However, in one sense, the stock's sharp decline last year is a positive for future investors, making it cheaper (in proportion to its earnings over the past year) than most other stocks in its industry. But due to other concerns, we feel the stock is still not a good buy right now. The company, on the basis of change in net income from the same quarter one year ago, has significantly underperformed when compared to that of the S&P 500 and the Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment industry. The net income has significantly decreased by 1763.4% when compared to the same quarter one year ago, falling from -$0.10 million to -$1.88 million.

According to Ken AuYeung at Hawk Associates, Inc., "the due date to file on-time for FQ3 filing with the SEC is April 13, 2007." "...the company's filing status will be determined as of the end of its current fiscal year." "After the fscal year ends on May 31, 2007 for PTSC, the company will become an "accelerated filer" and its 10K filing for FY07 will be due 60 days after the year ended May 31, 2007."

The part that concerns me about the 3d 10Q is that it is due to be filed on FRIDAY, April 13, 2007. I am somewhat superstititous, and hope that DP is also.
