Viele Risiken sind raus. In 9 Monaten wurden über $4 verdient. Der Weg zu $40 sollte nun frei sein, auch wenn angeblich ein Verlust verbucht wurde, aber durch Rückstellungen, PRIFA-Bondkäufe und Studentenkredite die durch Commutation aufgelöst wurden.

aber das entscheidende bei einer Versicherung wird mal wieder nicht berücksichtigt. Es ist nicht nur wichtig, dass man Eigenkapital hat, sondern wie viel von dem Kapital frei zur Verfügung steht und wo sieht man das? Na? Bei den zur Verfügung stehenden frei Kapital für Versicherte, dass nennt sich hier ,,policyholder reserve" und die ist auf $ 1,6 Milliarden angestiegen. Über $ 1 Milliarde policyholder reserve ist man im Bereich eines AAA-Ratings für neue Geschäfte. AMBAC will aber erst im neuen Jahr neue Geschäfte tätigen.  

Der Kurs geht erst mal wieder zurück auf Start. Offensichtlich konnte  das Management diese Tatsachen nicht entsprechend verkaufen.  

ganz legere bleiben.. klar mögen solche Anleger Zahlen nicht. Aber wie Usb richtig gesagt hat was dahinter steckt zählt denn das zählt sich langfristig aus. Wir haben bei ambac ne besondere Situation!  

günstig einzukaufen. Manche werden unruhig, wenn es mal heftig nach unten geht. Beim Value-Investing kennt man das Ziel vorher, die Zeit bis der Markt das reflektiert ist das ungewisse.

Natürlich ist nichts 100%-ig sicher, aber so ist das Leben
 

in der 5% Hürde. AMBAC hat Aktien zurück gekauft. Es sind jetzt 45,7 Millionen Aktien und im Quartal 2 davor waren es noch 46,5 Millionen Aktien.
Die Fonds mussten Aktien von AMBAC verkaufen, damit diese unter der 5% Hürde bleiben.

Liest sich alles sehr angenehm. Hoffentlich kommt spätestens am 16.01.2019 das positive lang ersehnte Urteil...  

was für ein Tal man mit AMBAC noch einmal durch machen muss, war mir fremd. Hätte ich so nie gedacht, aber zum Glück hat man eine gute Basis.
