System for providing localized shopping information
Abstract
A localization service is provided that provides users with online information on local retailers that sell particular products. A user can perform a search using a web page associated with the localization service or by searching using an internet search engine. The user's search includes a search origin. The search origin may be defined in terms of location information such as a place name or a postal code. A search for a particular product at local retailers may be made using search parameters such as search origins, product names, model numbers, product categories, and product attributes. The localization service may provide the user with search results in the form of web pages that list which retailers sell the desired product in the vicinity of the search origin. A targeted advertisement server at the localization service may use display criteria to determine which targeted advertisements should be displayed for the user. Less

It will be especially interesting to see applications for contextual technology that have not yet been thought up. Retailers have long hoped for indoor and location-based services to provide closer and more immediate contact with consumers, but if these services offer nothing more than in-store coupons and the like, they will hardly excite enough attention to win broad adoption. A company like Foursquare, with its game-like architecture, urban focus, and young demographic, seems especially well positioned to make use of iBeacon and other granular location platforms in innovative ways. Companies like Goodzer, Retailigence, and Krillion (owned by Local Corp), who work to catalogue the inventories of thousands of stores, could open their databases to consumer-oriented services that would allow for broad-based local comparison shopping, flexible delivery and pickup services, and powerful real-time search. It will not be surprising to see data-driven technologies like these becoming part of our everyday lives within two to three years.

Description:
Naked shortselling, washtrading and other additional manipulations by Local Corp is since years the target of not legal naked shortselling and washtrading, but I had never seen any acitivity of the SEC against the not legal acitivities. Yesterday we could see a new high of the criminal activities and the reason could be the following sentences in an offering of convertible bonds. “Convert Price Adjustment "In addition, the Company has agreed that, if immediately following the close of business on a specified date in March 2016 (the “Adjustment Date”), the Series A Conversion Price then in effect exceeds the price equal to the quotient of (x) the sum of the volume weighted average price of the Common Stock for each of the five consecutive trading days immediately preceding the Adjustment Date, divided by (y) five (the “Adjusted Conversion Price”), the Series A Conversion Price will be reset to the Adjusted Conversion Price as of such Adjustment Date." Facts are: Abusive naked shortselling is not legal without any other reasons. But the criminality is the double, if a second reason was the manipulation of the conversion-price. I hope, that the SEC will stop this criminal practice next at once , accuse the criminal naked shortsellers, washtraders and manipulators of the conversion-price and reset the not legal pricing yesterday. And very important, too: The SEC should take a look at the brokers of this criminals, who knowing all about the criminal activities of their clients and act as accessory by the criminal activities of their clients. I await an accuse of this criminal brokers, too, not in five years like by others in the past, next week at once - and we want to hear the names of the criminal brokers.
