Yes we are actively talking with the Red Cross. They are very impressed with our efforts so far. We needed bonding on a larger scale in order to work with them and that is the main reason we acquired the land in Arizona so that we would have collateral to pledge to a bond provider.

We are planning to go back to Sri Lanka soon, but we are still finalizing our arrangements to be bonded for these larger projects.  We acquired the land in Arizona to serve as collateral for a bonding company and hope to have that completed soon.   We have met with the Red Cross and UN and so are aware of their bonding requirements.  Once we can meet those requirements we will be able to move forward.

My guess is that we should be in Sri Lanka this month or May at the latest.  Thanks.

Sri Lanka economy shows resilience: ADB
       
Sri Lanka's economy had shown resilience "as it remained broadly on trend in 2005," the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said here Thursday whilst launching its Asian Development Outlook 2006.

The report said that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew at an estimated 5.7 percent in 2005 and the December 2004 Tsunami's " economic impact was not strong enough for economic growth to deviate significantly from its recent trend."

The economy had recovered and expanded at a relatively strong pace after 2001, the bank said, adding that the ceasefire with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) rebels have improved the overall climate.

However, the ADB warned that the economy remains sensitive to the progress in the peace process and the status of the ceasefire.

"A complex political and social structure combined with civil strife and a strong commitment to a welfare state has made it difficult for many successive governments to push unpopular but necessary decisions for structural change," the report said.

The ADB said that the government has to grapple with substantial macro economic issues such as a high public debt, a large fiscal deficit and fairly high inflation.

Jeff Flanenry ist ein Typ, der runtergekommene Firmen aufkauft,
