Irvine-based local search provider Local Corporation said today that it has scored a win in a patent infringement suit it has against Fry's Electronics. Financial details of the settlement were not announced. Local Corporation said the win came out of a June, 2012 lawsuit it filed against Fry's for infringing on its U.S. Patent, No. 7,062,453. The company appears to be ramping up its patent lawsuit strategy; the company's CEO said it believes it could generate over $100M in future licensing fees based on "hundreds of websites and applications" that it says infringe upon the company's patent covering "methods and systems for dynamic networked commerce architecture.

White label SEO is now getting popular since it offers a win-win situation for both reseller and SEO services provider. The resellers get to profit from their clients by using their reputation and negotiating skills while the SEO provider can also profit by providing their services to the reseller’s clients. This is general idea of white label SEO."

"As the percentage of time consumers spend on their mobile devices increase, we expect mobile pay-per-call ad spend to increase as well. It’s the best way to capture a customer on the mobile Web."
John Hampton in t he article "State of Pay Per Call Industry" in Search Engine Journall
Pay-Per-Call
Improve lead generation and sales force efficiency with the latest performance marketing solutions.
Generate more income by helping connect mobile consumers with the businesses and products they’re searching for. Our Pay Per Call advertising solution makes it easier for your visitors to contact that business with a simple tap. This convenient shortcut speeds the path to purchase for them and accelerates the revenue stream for you. The quicker they call the business, the faster (and more often) you get paid.
First money will come for Local Corp in 2014 from the launch of the Mobile Pay-Per-Call Lead Generation Network
“What is the current state of pay-per-call marketing?
Pay-per-call marketing is going through a renaissance period. Traditional pay-per-call marketing, which existed via TV, print and radio advertising, has been around for years. Now, though, the game is changing, as the “mobile threshold” has been broken. As more Internet traffic comes from mobile devices, it makes sense for advertisers generating leads to have their leads call in directly to a call center rather than trying to get a consumer to fill out a lead form on a mobile page and attempt to connect with them later.”

"Krillion’s value to Local is it's ability to ingest huge volumes of data, standardize and normalize it and allow us to leverage that in providing a much richer and relevant experience to our consumers
Historically we have pointed Krillion at the shopping space and we have ingested millions of records regarding products, 100s of 1000s of retail locations, product availability in those locations, pricing trends and built some very rich data that we can use in better presenting results for product and business searches as well as data that can be licensed to partners and can feed interactive ads.
We’re going to continue to leverage Krillion across a broader swap of data sets and leverage that across the full spectrum of sites that we own and operate as well as make that available to our partners in the industry so that they can leverage the richness of the data that we create there."

Intend to continue making significant investments in initiatives to diversify our revenue sources and promote our future growth
"As we continue to diversify our technologies and traffic sources, we remain focused on technology and advertising offerings that will improve the experience for our end users, and allow our network and other third party partners to enhance their service offerings and lower their costs. While we are still very focused on the local search industry, we believe there are additional opportunities in technology and advertising that we and our customers can benefit from, while diversifying our revenue sources. We intend to continue making significant investments in initiatives to diversify our revenue sources and promote our future growth."

Our initial nQuery relationships are expected to give Local Corporation potentially significant market share in the Tier II mobile phone carrier marketplace and contribute significant incremental revenue later this year and into 2015.
2014 Estimated Revenue: 15% of the projected revenues generated from new initiatives. That are by 105 million revenues of the last guidance about 16 million revenues from new initiatives.

"There is no question that the pay per call industry is undergoing a significant modern renaissance. Pay per call is not a new concept, but rather one that is receiving a new boost courtesy of the mobile revolution. Pay per call strategies have existed for decades via print, radio, and TV ads, but with millions of people carrying smartphones in their pocket, today’s pay per call strategies focus on mobile lead generation. Today we’ll look at how pay per call can provide a positive return-on-investment (ROI) for the plumbing industry."
