A pair of Chicago companies just went underwent a major makeover.
MSDSonline, a leading provider of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) solutions in the cloud, announced this week the company, alongside its subsidiary, Knowledge Management Innovations (KMI), will now operate under a new brand identity: VelocityEHS.
“While our name is changing, what won’t change is our commitment to creating partnerships with our customers,” said said Glenn Trout, president and CEO of VelocityEHS, in a statement. “We will continue to guide them with expert advice, not just through implementation, but throughout their entire EHS and sustainability journey. And we’ll also continue to develop products and services, based on the unique challenges our customers face as well as the best practices of the EHS and sustainability industry overall.”
MSDSonline and KMI will gradually incorporate the new identity over the next couple of months, updating offices, products, and services with new branding — although the MSDSonline name will remain in use as a product name under the larger VelocityEHS brand.
According to the statement, VelocityEHS emerged as a leader in its vertical, with more than 10,000 customers and eight million users already using its suite of solutions. Those solutions help organizations tackle any of their operation’s EHS and operational risks in order to foster safer and more environmentally sustainable workplaces.
KMI, a global provider of EHS and sustainability management information systems, and MSDSonline joined forces last August, Trout added.
VelocityEHS is headquartered in Chicago but has presence across the globe, with additional offices in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
“Our goal is to deliver the most relevant cloud EHS capabilities through an easily accessible platform, which is more affordable, quicker and easier to implement, and provides the simplest user experience for our clients. Telling that story is the main reason behind our new name and brand. We believe VelocityEHS better communicates the kind of EHS software solutions our customers want,” Trout said.

3 of the four core-companies produced together 16 million positive cash flow from operations
Cash flow from operations for FolioDynamix, GovDelivery, and Velocity was, in the aggregate, positive approximately $2.7 million for the quarter and approximately $9.7 million for year-to-date. These three businesses will generate in the range of $16 million of positive operating cash flow in the aggregate in 2015. Bolt had another good quarter from an operating cash flow perspective, and is beginning to demonstrate encouraging operating leverage.
