Havvit: New Local Product-Inventory App from Local Corp - Monday, December 16, 2013 (Screenwerk)
Local Corp. has released Havvit, a local-shopping app that leverages the Krillion data and infrastructure that it acquired a couple of years ago. The company intends the app to be a stand-alone consumer experience as well as a “showcase” of what can be done with its data.
I found Havvit overall to be a well designed and visually appealing app, though less complete in several respects than Find&Save. The latter is cross platform and has additional features not present in Havvit. However the two are not strictly competitors, Local/Krillion could supply data to Find&Save.
Like Find&Save, Havvit can be customized (follow stores and product categories) and equally supports e-commerce. In addition it has a useful product price-tracking capability not present in Find&Save. But like Find&Save, Havvit doesn’t have product reviews. Krillion product lead (former Krillion CEO) Sherry Thomas-Zon says that reviews are definitely on the roadmap.

So we’ve already made good progress in mobile. But it’s 2014 and beyond that really excites us now. You may have heard the term showrooming. The shopping process these days often starts with a consumer researching a product online, maybe a flat screen TV, they’ll go to overview site and begin to narrow down the choices then they’ll head over to the local electronics retailer to see the product themselves.
When they’ve made a buying decision, the last thing they do is whip out their smartphone to see if they are getting the best price. This action is called showrooming. It’s at this point of purchase that a consumer is most valuable. And this is the point where we are focused for the future in providing mobile consumers with the real-time inventory and pricing information for products that are physically around them.
We call this the last mile of shopping data what’s in-store right now and at what price. When a consumer does that showrooming search for a 70-inch Vizio model X, Y, Z, we want to be able to tell them that it’s available in the store 2.1 miles up the road for $300 less and here is the map to get there.

Beides wird bisher noch von SEC/Finra und Börsenboardbetreibern wie Yahoo toleriert, aber die geraten auch unter den Druck der Öffentlichkeit, ihre Helfershelfer des Criminal Crime behind The Street Sweeper inside rauszuschmeissen.
Was da heute auch noch fünf Jahre seit dem Bankencrash Finanzterroristen erlaubt wird, ist eigentlich unglaublich - aber, da bin ich überzeugt, nicht von Dauer.
Auf der anderen Seite muss ich zugestehen, dass es bei meiner Argumentation nicht so sehr um die großen Linien geht, wo man schon weiter ist, sondern um Details - und da konnte man sich, das als Entschuldigung von SEC und Finra, noch nicht so drum kümmern.
Aber aufgeschoben darf hier keinesfalls aufgehoben sein.

Idiotic low stock price of Local Corp = fundamentals - emotions - naked shortselling
But emotions and naked shortselling will never be ever.
Ignore the published shortselling-numbers, because naked shortselling is not part of this published shortselling numbers. After my estimates naked shortselling is about 5 - 10 million of 23 million of the outstanding shares.
And I am sure, that we will see one of the most gigantic shortsquezzes in the history Nasdaq.
