Andre Gauthier, President of Matamec, says that "the present agreement marks a major milestone for Matamec. It allows an independent feasibility study to be completed leading to a production decision by Q2 2013. TRECan is a reputable partner giving Matamec both the financial and technical support to allow it to catapult to the forefront in the race to production of HREEs outside of China."

"MATAMEC

On February 11, I received a letter stating that we had until March 4 to present to Canadian environmental Assessment Agency to provide our views on the potential impacts of the Kipawa Rare Earth Project on our community and that our comments will be considered in the Agency’s decision of whether an environmental assessment of the Project is re-quired. See the attached document of what was sent on the impacts and the reason why we are requesting an environmental assessment. As of now the Kipawa Rare Earth Project does not qualify under the Quebec environmental assessment because of the tonnage that will be produced per day, so Eagle Village and Wolf Lake presented a joint response to this letter.

In addition, I have attached the outcome overview of their work plan to date.
