"Zum weiteren dürfte der Uranpreis die Branche anheizen. Heute kostete ein Pound Uran (U3O8) 75 US-Dollar. Erst kürzlich gab die RBC Dominion Securities aus Kanada ein Kursziel für Uran von 100 US-Dollar 2007 aus. Die US-Tochter des kanadischen Brokers Canaccord, Canaccord Adams, erwartet einen Preishöhepunkt 2009 bei 103 Dollar je Pound. Doch auch das muss nicht das Ende der Fahnenstange sein. Bereinigen wir den Hochpunkt des Uranpreises von 1979 bei 43 US-Dollar je Pound mit der Inflationsrate, so läge dieser Wert heute bei 145 Dollar je Pound.


Warum sollte Uran nicht dorthin zurückkehren? Nicht langfristig vielleicht, da ja neue Produktionsstätten bei steigendem Kurs eröffnet werden. Aber zumindest kurzfristig, bis dieses zusätzliche Angebot kommt. Und wir wissen ja: Bis 240 Dollar je Pound lohnt es Uran statt Kohle in Strom zu verwandeln. Wer könnten also die nächsten Ziele einer weiteren Konsolidierung in der Uran-Branche sein? Cameco, Uranium One und auch die - jetzt - dritte Kraft, ERA (Energy Resources of Australia) aus Australien, eine Tochter von Rio Tinto, sowie die Bergbaukonzerne BHP Billiton und Rio Tinto, dürften es vor allem auf große Lagerstätten abgesehen haben. An erster Stelle steht wohl Paladin Resources aus Australien. Paladin besitzt mit dem Langen Heinrich ein ausgezeichnetes Projekt in Namibia. Rio Tinto holt aus der nahe gelegenen Rössing-Mine bereits große Mengen Uran heraus. Es könnte Rio Tinto also durchaus einfallen die eigene Börsen gelistete Tochter ERA mit Paladin zusammen zu bringen. Ein drittes Unternehmen, das ebenfalls in diesen Verbund passen würde, ist Forsys Metals. Forsys (www.forsysmetals.com) exploriert derzeit eine große Uranlagerstätte etwas nördlich von Langer Heinrich und Rössing.


Ebenfalls als Übernahmekandidat zu handeln ist Strateco Resources (www.stratecoinc.com). Die Lagerstätte Matoush in dem Otish-Gebirge grenzt an Gebiete von Cameco an. Um sich zukünftige Produktion zu sichern könnte Cameco bald zuschlagen. Beim heutigen Börsenkurs von rund drei kanadischen Dollar dürfte dies jedoch nicht geschehen. Zu stark scheint das Bekenntnis einer großer Anzahl von Aktionären zur weiteren Entwicklung des Unternehmens. Sobald Strateco im Spätsommer mit ihrer 43-101 konformen Ressourcen-Definition herauskommen, dürfte der Aktienkurs von alleine bei fünf bis sieben Dollar liegen. Eine Übernahme scheint daher unter sieben bis zehn Dollar nicht mehr möglich für Cameco.


Fazit: Uran bleibt eine heiße Geschichte. Wer noch keine Aktien aus diesem Bereich hat, sollte nicht mehr lange warten. Kleine Explorer sind jedoch zu riskant. Die etwas weiter entwickelten wie Forsys und Strateco oder sogar die in Produktion gehenden Paladin und die produzierende ERA scheinen Risiko ärmer, wenn auch nicht spekulationsfrei."

First Uranium announces JSE secondary listing


          §    JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, March 29 /CNW/ - First Uranium Corporation
(FIU:TSX and FUM:JSE) ("First Uranium" or "the Company") today announced that
the Company has obtained a secondary listing of its Common Shares by JSE
Limited (the "JSE"), known as the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. With this
secondary listing, scheduled for Friday, March 30, the Company will not be
issuing any additional shares. As a result of this event, all of the same
shares that are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") will also be
listed for trading on the JSE.
          §    In connection with the secondary listing, First Uranium prepared and
submitted a Pre-listing Statement with the JSE. In addition, the Company
received approval of the South African Reserve Bank ("SARB") to obtain a JSE
listing. The Common Shares will trade on the JSE under the share code "FUM".

Africans to directly invest in a South African growth company," said Gordon
