WorldWater Develops Project with San Diego County's Valley Center Municipal Water District for Solar Powered Pumping System Up to 1.2 Megawatts
Wednesday August 29, 3:00 am ET
PENNINGTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTC BB: WWAT.OB - News; formerly WorldWater & Power Corp.), developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems, announced today it will build a photovoltaic system up to 1.2 Megawatts to provide electricity and water pumping power for the Valley Center Municipal Water District (VCMWD) of Valley Center, California. The system will be owned by Solar Power Partners of Mill Valley, California, which will operate it for VCMWD under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The actual size of the system will be determined by the results of environmental and site engineering work.
The system will use WorldWater's proprietary AquaMax(TM) drives to provide pumping power for drinking water and irrigation. VCMWD is the second largest water provider in San Diego County behind the City of San Diego.
Gary Arant, General Manager of VCMWD, commented, "Our Board's vote for this project was enthusiastic and unanimous. Throughout the process, all involved recognized the importance of securing clean, reliable, cost effective electric energy to meet our commitment to our customers and community. With this in mind, WorldWater, VCMWD's staff and Solar Partners worked very hard to bring this project to this point in the process. We are very excited and anxious to keep the project moving forward and bring it on-line as soon as possible."
In 2006, WorldWater worked with VCMWD's Board of Directors on a project feasibility study and later procured rebates on their behalf from the California Public Utility Commission through the California Solar Initiative Program. WorldWater will engineer, supply and construct the system, and will maintain it for Solar Power Partners. The planned site is near VCMWD's Betsworth pumping station in Valley Center. Pending environmental study approvals and final engineering, construction will start this year with completion scheduled for May 2008.
Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO of WorldWater, said, "We were selected largely because of our patented AquaMax(TM) technology which has proven itself highly effective in water utility operation. It's the only system that seamlessly switches back and forth from solar power to the grid or uses solar power alone for the multifaceted and critical pumping needs of a water district when the grid goes down."
Craig Hunt, Co-Founder and CEO of Solar Power Partners, said, "SPP is greatly pleased to have the Valley Center Municipal Water District as our PPA customer, and to be working closely with WorldWater to develop this exciting project."
Aquamax(TM) is the unique solar technology capable of powering electric pumps up to 1,000 horsepower and operates automatically in combination with grid, battery and diesel power. The system operates unattended and protects customers from paying peak grid rates during sunny periods. WorldWater is designated as a preferred solar supplier by the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA).
Solar Power Partners, Inc. (SPP(TM)) is a developer, owner, and manager of mid-size commercial solar energy facilities, built and operated to provide solar-generated electric power for commercial, educational, public sector, industrial and agricultural customers. SPP(TM) provides an innovative turnkey service that bundles development, financing and on-going operations tailored to meet customers' specific needs, though the use of Power Purchase Agreement financing.
California's State Legislature authorized the Valley Central Municipal Water District in 1911. The District serves residential, commercial and agricultural customers in northern San Diego County and covers over a 100 square mile with nearly 300 miles of water lines.

Kurzfristig ?, langfristig sehr gut.
@Nussriegel:
Deine Analyse ist technisch richtig liniert, aber ich hab in meinen Quellen keine Anlayse gefunden, die sich auf prozentuale Charts bezog .. gruebel....
@All

Danke!
Analysen nicht im log-Chart? *Staun*
Sicher? Dann habbich wieder was gelernt!
auf mich hört ja eh keiner ..... :-(
Gute sonnnige Gewinne wünscht euch

MMA Renewable Ventures and WorldWater & Solar Technologies to Build Solar Energy System at Denver International Airport
Monday October 1, 7:30 am ET
2-Megawatt Photovoltaic System at Nation's Fifth Busiest Airport will Operate Under Power Purchase Agreement
DENVER, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MMA Renewable Ventures, LLC, a subsidiary of Municipal Mortgage & Equity, LLC ("MuniMae") (NYSE: MMA - News) and WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: WWAT - News), formerly WorldWater & Power Corp., today announced plans to construct a two-megawatt (MW) solar energy system at Denver International Airport (DIA). Upon its completion in 2008, the photovoltaic system is expected to generate 3.5 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually at DIA and support Denver's commitment to environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere by more than five million pounds each year.
Designed and installed by WorldWater & Solar Technologies, the new ground mounted tracking solar array system will be located at the entrance to DIA's main terminal. The system will be financed by MMA Renewable Ventures, which will own and operate the system and sell predictably priced power to DIA under a long-term contract or Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
"By purchasing clean power rather than solar panels, DIA will benefit from a renewable energy system that is cost-effective from the day it becomes operational and for years to come," said Matt Cheney, CEO of MMA Renewable Ventures. "Our collaborative effort with DIA serves as an example of how successful public-private partnership can help municipal facilities make the most of the tax credits and other incentives available for solar energy."
The project is part of the Xcel Energy Solar*Rewards program and will receive a rebate to offset the upfront construction costs. Xcel Energy will purchase the renewable energy credits from the clean electricity produced in support of Colorado's Renewable Energy Standard, which requires large utilities to generate 20 percent of their power from renewable energy sources by 2020.
Operated by the City and County of Denver, DIA is the fifth busiest international airport in the United States having served nearly 50 million passengers in 2006.
"Denver International Airport is a leader in sustainability as the only airport to be accepted into the Environmental Protection Agency's National Performance Track Program," said Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. "Thanks to MMA Renewable Ventures and WorldWater & Solar Technologies, DIA will soon have one of the country's largest airport solar systems, marking the first of many alternative energy innovations expected under Greenprint Denver, our action agenda for sustainable practices. DIA is a shining example of how we can embrace sustainable development as an operating principle while maintaining a successful, profitable business, breaking records for passenger traffic and earning high customer satisfaction ratings."
"DIA has a long-standing commitment to sustainable operations and environmental protection. This solar energy system will provide cleaner air and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the city and county of Denver and serve as a highly visible environmental statement to the millions of passengers that travel through our airport each month," said Turner West, aviation manager for Denver International Airport.
Quentin T. Kelly, chairman and CEO of WorldWater commented, "We are delighted that such a major metropolitan airport as Denver International has embarked on a solar energy system that is as impressive in size and scope at this 2-Megawatt installation and we are looking forward to helping Denver achieve that worthy target. Two months ago we contracted with the Fresno Yosemite International Airport to build another major solar system. Our expertise in solar energy generation and integrated systems design makes us well suited to address the complex power needs of a major transportation hub like Denver International, significantly reducing electric costs and helping improve air quality at the airport."
With the City of Denver, Xcel Energy will develop an educational display for DIA's main terminal to explain the benefits of solar energy.
"This project is right in line with the clean energy future we envision at Xcel Energy," said Dick Kelly, chairman, president and CEO of Xcel Energy. "We were pleased to be able to bring together the City of Denver with its renewable energy development partners, to help Denver and Colorado meet the ambitious goals its leaders have set with the Renewable Energy Standard and Greenprint Denver. We are proud to be part of the effort."
