Integral to Fever is its data-led editorial arm, the Secret Media Network, which includes the hugely popular Secret London social media channel. All of the Secret Media channels, including Secret London and Secret NYC, have an in-house editorial team who use the platform’s data to create targeted content that in turn allows the company to better inform and refine the event offering on the Fever app.

Lyft (LYFT) was higher Wednesday as analysts at Jefferies released a bullish note on the ride-hailing service, reiterating a buy rating and $90 price target.Analysts Brent Thill and John Byun said they expected the stock would recover "as Lyft executes and misconceptions clear."
The company must "overcome concerns that growth will be capped as a #2 behind Uber." (UBER) They noted that 2018 revenue, $2.2 billion, was six times the 2016 figure. And they see "plenty of headroom in [the] U.S. for a duopoly in a market that is less than 1% penetrated."
And Lyft must "disprove bears" who say the company will never be profitable. The analysts note that pretax profit margins and per-ride metrics are improving. They call Lyft "highly focused" and said it "has been able to outexecute [Uber] and gain outsized share in a duopoly."

The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles want you to leave your cash at home.
The Pacific League club late last week unveiled a plan to make its home stadium, Rakuten Seimei Park Miyagi, completely cashless in 2019. The Eagles say it will be the world’s first such stadium.
“The cashless movement has been going forward around the world, and there are countries where cashless payments are used more than cash,” the team said on its website. Having had success with its QR code service, Rakuten Pay, the Eagles have decided to take the plunge and attempt to go completely cashless at their ballpark. Fans will be able to purchase tickets, food and goods with Rakuten Pay, which allows for payment through smartphones, and Rakuten Edy, a prepaid smart card, as well as credit cards. The club also plans to set up some sort of support for children and those without any cashless payment options.

Although the Rakuten Cloud Innovation Lab will play a pivotal role in enabling Rakuten and its customers to benefit from the versatility of 5G, it also needs to be cost-effective. Raghavendran explained that Rakuten’s use of standard off-the-shelf computer servers makes it viable to provide vendors with such a robust test environment. In his presentation, Khan noted that Rakuten is only using 10 different configurations of computer servers across its network in Japan, whereas a conventional mobile operator would use several hundred. “This is a huge benefit”, he explained, as it allows Rakuten to reduce both capital costs and operating costs by making deployment and maintenance straightforward.
By rethinking the architecture of mobile infrastructure from the ground-up, Rakuten has created a low-cost, yet highly flexible and versatile network that will easily be able to evolve from 4G to 5G and beyond, providing cutting edge services to customers at speed.

Four things to know:
1. Nonemergency medical transportation, which is typically paid for by third-party payers, helps elderly patients or those lacking reliable transportation get to healthcare appointments, according to WSJ.
2. Uber and Lyft are competing for a slice of the nonemergency medical transportation business, which Dan Trigub, head of Uber Health, estimates is worth $15 billion annually, according to the report.
3. Uber and Lyft have established business units dedicated to nonemergency medical transportation. Uber is working with more than 1,000 healthcare organizations and Lyft recently became a covered transportation option for Medicaid beneficiaries in Arizona, according to WSJ.
4. Nonemergency medical transportation could be a lucrative opportunity for ride-hailing companies. However, it's still unclear how popular on-demand rides will be with patients, according to WSJ.

The High Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) has suspended regulatory conditions of a 60 minute waiting period set by the metropolitan area of Barcelona on ridesharing companies such as Uber and Cabify
.
According to the regulations set by the Catalan government, instead of being able to book cabs instantaneously, customers would have to book at least 15 minutes in advance. However, city and town councils were given the opportunity to set this minimum waiting time higher, and the Barcelona metropolitan area opted to place a 60 minute waiting period on ridesharing cabs.
The lifting of the regulation now opens the door to Uber and Cabify potentially returning to near-normal operation in Barcelona once again, although they have been critical of the 15 minute waiting period in the past, which will remain in effect.

Accelerating Topline Growth and Achievable Pace of Profit Growth
With this vision, we are planning on growing rapidly. By 2020, we are looking to achieve 1700 billion yen in annual revenue (or approximately US$15 billion at today’s exchange rates). We also plan to achieve operating income (non-GAAP) of 300 billion yen (US$2.7 billion) by 2020, and EBITDA of 360 billion yen (US$3.2 billion).
Here is the breakdown of our plan for non-GAAP operating income. Last year, our domestic e-commerce business did 96 billion yen in profit and we plan to grow this to 160 billion yen. Operating income from other internet services was negative at -18 billion yen and we’re planning to take this to 20 billion yen by 2020. Our Fintech businesses made a profit of 64 billion yen last year and we’re planning to make 120 billion yen in 2020. These numbers add up to 300 billion yen. These are not overly optimistic or ambitious goals. If we execute well, we will be able to achieve these numbers.
