LHS Signs Contract With Nextel for Customer Care and Billing Solution
BSCS version 5.2.3 to provide billing systems and services for all Nextel's international properties
ATLANTA/FRANKFURT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1999-- LHS Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LHSG - news; Neuer Markt: LHI) announced today they have signed a three-year contract with Nextel International to upgrade all six Nextel International properties from 4.0.3 to the newest release of LHS' customer care and billing software. Along with the new functionality (BSCS 5.2.3), LHS will provide a comprehensive set of migration, development and on-site support services utilizing the Nextel International facilities in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
By implementing the newest software release from LHS, Nextel International can ensure up-to-date enhancements, along with specialized features required for the iDEN (R) business market. Since Nextel International has operations throughout North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific, LHS will provide the services using LHS facilities in those areas. The services will support Nextel's international affiliates: in the Philippines, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Peru.
