The global partnership is the largest of its kind for Palantir, the maker of data-analysis software whose shares have more than quadrupled since its September debut on the New York Stock Exchange. Palantir gains access to a sales team of more than 2,500 people, up from its current 30.
The relationship is the payday for the project Palantir started more than a year ago to break its data integration and analysis software into smaller, less pricey modules. The Denver-based company mainly mainly sells to companies with revenue in excess of $500 million -- many of which already have relationships with IBM.
Reselling Palantir’s software to augment the data and AI tools that IBM already offers and make them easier for more people to use was “a natural” fit, said Rob Thomas, IBM’s senior vice president of software, cloud and data. “We’re going to sell it to 180 countries and thousands of customers.”

Das kommt schon fast einem Ritterschlag für Palantir gleich.
Vor allem wenn bedenkt, daß IBM mit Watson selbst auch schon eine KI/AI Platform am Start hat

Under a new partnership, IBM (NYSE:IBM) will combine its hybrid cloud data platform with Palantir's (NYSE:PLTR) next-gen application building platform to help businesses maximize the value of vast amounts of data.
The Palantir for IBM Cloud Pak for Data product is planned for general availability in March. The product is meaning for a wide range of industries, including financial services, retail, and telecommunications.
"Fiserv is operating in an increasingly complex global environment - supporting financial institutions and businesses in a world that never powers down. Our goal is to enable our clients with a competitive advantage through our ability to securely harness data and create intelligence through advanced models and automated decision making," says Guy Chiarello, CAO and Head of Technology and Innovation at Fiserv. "This partnership between two of the world's technology leaders will help companies in the financial services industry provide business-ready data and scale AI with confidence."
As part of the agreement, Palantir will adopt IBM's Red Hat OpenShift to operate anywhere in the hybrid cloud.
Key benefits for the companies: IBM makes its AI software more accessible for customers and continues the hybrid cloud focus that prompted a spin off announced last year. Palantir gets access to IBM's sizable sales force.
Ich hab sicherheitshalber mal den Chefsessel gegen einen Schalensitz getauscht und den in die Horizontale gefahren, falls an dem FB-Gerücht was dran sein sollte.
