Covid-19 vaccine maker BioNTech plans to develop targeted antibiotics that could be used against superbugs, which are bacteria that are resistant to conventional antibiotics.

The German company is working on a type of synthetic antimicrobial called a ribolysin, which could be deployed against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, chief medical officer Ozlem Tureci said in a presentation to investors on Wednesday. The first patient trials of the platform should begin next year, CEO Ugur Sahin said.

“The vision is to build a new category of precision antibacterials,” Sahin said. The technology could also allow doctors to target only dangerous bacteria, leaving the body’s natural microbiome intact, he said.

BioNTech acquired an Austrian biotech, PhagoMed, with precision antibiotics technology last year. Antimicrobial resistance is one of the top 10 global killers, causing more than a million deaths annually, Tureci said.

(NYSE: PFE) and BioNTech SE (Nasdaq: BNTX) today announced a new vaccine supply agreement with the U.S. government to support the continued fight against COVID-19. Under the agreement, the U.S. government will receive 105 million doses (30 µg, 10 µg and 3 µg). This may include adult Omicron-adapted COVID-19 vaccines, subject to authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The doses are planned to be delivered as soon as late summer 2022 and continue into the fourth quarter of this year.

The U.S. government will pay the companies $3.2 billion upon receipt of the first 105 million doses. Under this agreement, the U.S. government also has the option to purchase up to 195 million additional doses, bringing the total number of potential doses to 300 million....

.. vor allem die Wettbewerber, die deren Kuchen vermutlich sehr klein bleiben wird und deren Hoffnung auf den großen Durchbruch immer keiner werden könnte (Meinung).

Wohingegen Biontech beginnt, ein weiteres erfolgreiches Jahr abzuliefern und Konstanz in Covid zu bringen. Sahin sagte gestern im stream (biontech.de), er glaube, covid werde uns eine Dekade begleiten (10 Jahre)..

Also, sell on good news. Nur aufpassen, welchen Wert man verkauft.  

"Es ist davon auszugehen, dass BioNTech in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten weitere Verträge abschließen kann. Denn die USA dürften nicht das einzige Land sein, welches sich auf eine potenzielle Impfkampagne vorbereitet."

BEKOMMEN MENSCHEN DURCH DIE IMPFUNG DAS "POST-VAKZIN-SYNDROM"?

Köln - Viele wollen vom Coronavirus nichts mehr hören. Es gibt eine Gruppe, deren Alltag weiterhin permanent von Corona bestimmt und eingeschränkt wird: Menschen mit Long Covid. Auch zu Impf-Nebenwirkungen sucht die WDR-Doku nach Antworten.  

wieder fast auf Vorkriegsniveau....und die europäschen oder amerikanischen Indizes mit bis zu 30% Verlust....uiuiui, hat sich da jemand mit seinen Sanktionen verzockt???
Hier spricht man von Inflation, Stagnation und Rezession....und alles geht den Bach runter

.....und Russland feiert und mach Geschäfte mit Indien, China usw.

aber ich hoffe, die Impfstoffaktie ist von all dem unbeeinflusst und geht ihren eigenen Weg zumindest bis 160,-€ damit ich mal einige/etliche Tranchen veräußern kann und wieder etwas mehr Cash für die Fälle der Fälle zur Verfügung habe
