hab die letzten paar stunden im internet gesurft um stichhaltige argumente aufzustöbern, welche mich davon abhalten könnten axia zu verkaufen! stattdessen stosse ich auf immer mehr offene fragen:

- firmensitz von axia...wenigstens eine adresse?
- die beiden namen (batticaloa und sos-kinderdorf)sind in meinen augen absichtlich falsch geschrieben, v.a. batticaloa 2mal, erstes mal 14. feb. und im gestrigen newsletter! grund: käms hart auf hart könnte niemand zur rechenschaft gezogen werden. batticoala gibts ja gar nicht...und niemand, v. a. wer selbst schon dort war, schreibt eine ortschaft zweimal falsch. oder!?
- vergleicht mal vegetation und boden von "richtigen" bildern von batticaloa und denen von axia! huch...
- hinweise auf neubauten in sri lanka...ja, welche die von axia oder "partnern" erbaut wurden...nein. Selbst im Artikel Situation Report Sri Lanka 3 - 9 February 2006 stammen die Sätze über Axia VON Axia. wer findet einen artikel über axia, nur ein klitzekleiner, der nicht von axia selbst stammt!!! ginge alles mit rechten dingen zu, würde es keine minute dauern, bis man einen gefunden hätte.
- richard surber, lieber kerl, klar vergangenheit ist vergangenheit, aber kein seriöser businessman, würde mit richard surber zusammenarbeiten
- geniale taktik, aktionäre wie weihnachtsgänse auszunehmen (inkl. mich) einen termin dauernd zu verschieben. sorry, die politische situation in sri lanka erlaube es nicht einen termin zu vereinbaren mit dem roten kreuz oder un! DAS ROTE KREUZ UND UN...nznz, hätten die auch nur das geringste interesse an axia, hätten sie es schon längstes bekundet, und man könnte etwas darüber LESEN. DAS ROTE KREUZ UND UN, das sind gigantische apperate die macht haben. und...nichts geht über humanitäre hilfe!
- die homepage wimmelt von ungenauigkeiten, schreibfehlern und ist lausig aufgemacht... angebliche 100 mitarbeiter in sri lanka, aber um ev. aktionäre anzulocken, schaffen sie es nicht einen einzigen typen zu holen, der die homepage attraktiv gestaltet! hehe, ausser die bilder, die sind absichtlich so schlecht, man soll ja auch nichts genaues erkennen...
- all die netten ideen in diesem board, wohin axia viel schneller und besser häuser liefern könnte sind wohl richtig. aber wäre axia keine lüge, hätten sie es schon längst getan, die sind ja nich doof.
- und soooo weiter, mag nicht mehr schreiben, gibt ja noch x andere dinge, welche einem misstrauisch stimmen

ich will weder bashen noch irgendwer vergraulen. wollte nur mal meine meinung loswerden. denke nur dass sich viele hier viel zu schnell zufrieden geben mit undurchsichtigen neuigkeiten. auch ich hab mich von der grandiosen geschäftsidee mitreissen lassen und zu schnell gekauft...vielleicht schiesst die aktie ja tatsächlich noch mal hoch, um dann definitiv in der versenkung zu verschwinden, aber dieses risiko ist mir zu hoch..

Also ich finde deine Punkte sehr interessant!
Habe mir Axia auch genauer durch den Kopf
gehen lassen und bin zu dem Entschluss gekommen:

Axia hatte einfach nur Anfängerpech! ;-)

Da entschließt sich ein Typ, nach der Tsunamie-Katastrophe
in Sri Lanka zu helfen, geht eine Kooperation ein mit einem
dort ansässigen Unternehmen und plant, billige Häuser zu
bauen!

Sechs Monate später rauscht der erste Auftrag über 1,85 Millionen
Dollar ins Haus, kurz darauf ein kleiner Folgeauftrag über 250.000 Dollar.
Jetzt ist Axia erst mal beschäftigt! Nicht nur mit dem Bau der insgesamt
300 Häuser, sondern auch mit den Unruhen auf Sri Lanka, mit dem Bürgerkrieg,
mit dem neuen Präsidenten, der im Dezember gewählt wurde und alles andere
als ein Friedensstifter ist, und und und...

Axia gab es vor einem Jahr noch gar nicht und jetzt haben sie schon Aufträge
über 2 Millionen Dollar in der Tasche, die ersten Häuser werden im April
fertig gestellt, sodass sich jeder ein Bild von ihrer Leistung machen kann!

Ich rate allen, zahlreiche Emails an Hilfsorganisationen zu schicken: an Rotes
Kreuz, an SOS-Kinderdörfer, an UN-Habitat, an die EMAS, an den Deutschen Städtetag usw.
Sollte sich dann mal jemand zu Axia äußern, wäre das für alle hier sehr interessant ;-)

Befürchtung: Axia hat den Typen gezeigt, welche Technik sie benutzen
und wie man Billighäuser baut! Da Axia noch kein weltweites Patent
darauf hat, haben Red Cross und UN-Habitat sich höflich bedankt
und bauen die Häuser selbst! Ohne Axia! Ganz schön arschig! Aber nur

Red Cross Movement commits tsunami-housing partnership with UN HABITAT

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the weekend between the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Federation) and UN HABITAT, marking the beginning of a collaboration that will help thousands of tsunami affected families to rebuild their homes, said a press release issued by the SLRCS.
Following is the press release:

"This new partnership comprises part of the 'Community Recovery and Reconstruction Partnership' ("the Partnership"), a new initiative that will significantly increase the Red Cross Red Crescent Movements contribution towards the post tsunami reconstruction effort. Under the Partnership the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement hopes to commit up to US$ 31 million in a 'Top Up' grant initiative that will provide matching funds to grants that have been disbursed to individual families under the government's existing Owner Driven Housing Programme (ODHP).

"The Partnership between the Red Cross Red Crescent and UN-HABITAT will deliver a comprehensive package of support to families and communities in a people-centered approach to the rebuilding process.

"At the community level, UN HABITAT and the Sri Lanka Red Cross will play a key role that will involve the formation of Community Development Councils (CDCs) that will empower families to collectively decide on the overall development of their community. Local government as the body that works in the interest of each community will recognize the CDCs. They will assist in areas such as the bulk purchase of construction materials and will also organize families into mutual self-help groups to support each other during the construction process, giving special attention to female-headed households.

Under this programme, families whose homes were totally destroyed will receive a cash grant of 250,000 Rupees (US$ 2,500) in four installments linked to different phases of the construction process. Red Cross to construct 1000 houses in Trinco district

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) supported by the Japanese Red Cross Society is to construct one thousand permanent houses to tsunami-hit families in the Trincomalee district. The government has already identified two sites, one in Kinniya division and other in Trincomalee to construct about 245 houses, SLRCS sources said.

One hundred permanent houses will be constructed in Kinniya division and 145 houses in a site between fourth and fifth mile post along Trincomalee-Kandy road for tsunami affected families in Samudragama, an illegal Sinhala settlement, which is located along the Back Bay beach in the heart of Trincomalee town, sources said.

SLRCS is waiting for the Sri Lanka government approval for the construction of the remainder of one thousand houses, SLRCS sources said.

Meanwhile, the visiting Japanese Red Cross Society President Mr.Tadateru Konoe and his team accompanied by Dr.E.G.Gnanagunalan, President of the SLRCS, Trincomalee district branch visited Kinniya division Sunday morning and inspected the site at Kuba Nagar.

About one hundred and five transitional homes are to be built for the tsunami affected Kuba Nagar families who now reside in tent houses elsewhere with great difficulties, sources said.

Mr.Tadateru unveiled the plaque of the Kuba Nagar transitional homes.

Tja, was soll ich dazu sagen?

Die Nachricht enttäuscht in mehrfacher Hinsicht! Erstens ist die Reise verschoben und die Nachricht darüber kommt sehr, sehr spät! Zweitens zeigt es auf, dass es doch sehr viel schwieriger werden dürfte, mit der neuen Regierung zusammen zu arbeiten. Drittens, und das bewehrte ich als besonders enttäuschend an der Nachricht, keine Wort über das Hearing bzw. die Zahlen etc. pp.

Das positive an der News: die ersten Häuser werden übergeben! Das zeigt, dass das System an sich funktioniert! Wichtig wäre jetzt eine entsprechende Nachkalkulation, was von den 1,85 Mio $ übrig geblieben ist! Und diese Nachkalkulation sollte schonungslos sein.

Es ist mir eigentlich klar, dass diese Nachkalkulation zeigen wird, dass, wenn überhaupt, gerade mal kostendeckend gearbeitet werden konnte. Der wirkliche Profit wird sehr wahrscheinlich erst dann fliessen, wenn weitere Aufträge folgen und eine gewisse Routine eintritt bzw. die Herstellkosten, durch Produktion vor Ort, weiter gesenkt werden können.

Ansonsten gilt: weiter warten. Und mit einem weiteren Kursverfall rechnen! Leider!

Axia is currently completing the first phase of a single family home development project in one of the tsunami devastated areas of the country. Company executives have planned a trip to Sri Lanka in April/May of 2006 to further explore business opportunities in the region.
