Aquila Resources Announces Results from Optioned Property
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 14, 2006) - AQUILA RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:AQA)(FRANKFURT:JM4A)("Aquila" or the "Company") is pleased to announce past drilling results from the recently optioned MRT property at its Back Forty Project in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. These results are based on a 29 hole drilling program on the MRT property conducted by the Back Forty Joint Venture between the American Copper and Nickel Company and the Menominee River Exploration Co. LLC, and managed by Aquila personnel in 2002 and 2003. Aquila has verified these drill results and believes they can be relied on to be correct.
Mineralization at the Back Forty Project consists of at least three zinc and gold rich massive sulfide lenses and stringer zones (see Technical Report by Ted Dematties, dated Aug. 17, 2005). In addition to the precious metal enriched massive sulfides, gold mineralization occurs in altered host rocks and in late stage quartz - feldspar porphyry (QFP) intrusions (note drill holes # 108408, #108416, #108418 in tables below).
Mineralization on the MRT property consists of the western extension of the near surface East End massive sulfide and gossan (see press release dated June 6, 2006), as well as a separate massive sulfide and gossan called the Pin Wheel. "These horizons offer significant potential to add additional tonnage to the already established resource at the Back Forty Project. Further expansion and definition of both the near surface gossans and massive sulfide mineralization in both the Main and Pin Wheel Zones is warranted" stated Tom Quigley Aquila's President. A summary of the 2002 and 2003 drilling on the MRT property is shown in the tables below.

A second drill rig is being added to the project to expand and further define the zones of mineralization at the Back Forty. "We are proceeding with an aggressive drill program to establish an updated resource at the Back Forty Project" said Quigley.
Warrant Acceleration
The Company would like to clarify its prior announcement of the acceleration of outstanding warrants. In addition to accelerating the common share purchase warrants set to expire on November 29, 2007, the Company is also accelerating the warrants that were set to expire on January 17, 2008 and January 18, 2008. The expiry date of these warrants is now September 6, 2006.

Warrant Acceleration

Die zwei letzten Berichte handeln um den Erwerb eines neuen Landes (MRT property Bericht 8 August) und dessen Bohrergebnisse von 29 Bohrlöchern (Bericht 14 August). Das Projekt MRT property weißt eine hohe Mineralisierung auf, die von Back Forty Projekt weiterverläuft. Man wird jetzt so schnell wie möglich versuchen die NI-43-101 konformen Resourcen auszuweiten um den Unternehmenswert zu steigern. (sehr kurz gefasst Berichte ausführlich lesen)
Der Bericht vom 3 August ist eine kleinen Zusammenfassung wenn man will. 21 Löcher wurden gebohrt. Die Ergebnisse von den Bohrlöchern LK72 - LK84 werden in den früheren Berichten ausführlich angezeigt. Was ganz wichtig ist in diesem Bericht und worauf wir allen warten:
Die Bohrergebnisse von den Bohrlöchern LK85 - LK91 werden folgen. Ausserdem sind weitere 8 Bohlöcher in Plannung LK92 - LK99.
Wann die Ergebnisse von den Bohrlöchern LK85 - LK91 kommen sollen weiss natürlich keiner so genau, laut RSR soll das in kürze folgen.
Der aktuelle Kurs ist für mich ein Kaufkurs, zumal die Aktie auf die guten Ergebnisse die schon veröffentlicht wurden nicht richtig gezündet hat, sondern lagsam und stätig gestiegen ist, "komisch" für mich aber "positiv komisch" (die Aktie wird halt nicht so gepuscht).
Wenn man sich den Chart ankuckt sieht er auch vielversprechend aus, hab zwar keine Ahnung von Chartanalyse aber sowas erkenne ich :-) Es wird auch in der Heimatbörse gut gehandelt was bei manchen Aktien nicht der Fall ist, das Volumen in Deutschland ist bei denen um vielfaches größer als das in den Heimatbörsen.
Jack Stock einer der grossen und andere bekannte Namen sind bei Aquila investiert und überzeugt von deren Arbeit und ich natürlich auch :-)

Drill hole LK-86 was a 30 meter and 40 meter step out from two previous intersections of Main Zone massive sulfides (see South Limb long section at www.aquilaresources.com). It successfully intersected two zinc rich lenses of the Main Zone. Drill hole LK-87 targeted the Tuff Zone 40 meters and 50 meters down dip and along strike respectively from previously drilled holes (see Tuff Zone long section), and encountered 6.5 meters of massive sulfide.
Drill hole LK-85 was a step out to the east of a previous gold intercept in siliceous sediments, and intersected only minor mineralization.

Sample preparation and assays on split core submitted by Aquila were completed by ALS Chemex Labs in Thunder Bay, Ontario and Vancouver, BC. Trace elements excluding gold were analyzed by ICP emission spectrometry with "ore grade" analyses conducted on heavily mineralized samples and samples exceeding upper reporting limits for the ICP package. Gold was analyzed by fire assay fusion with atomic absorption finish, with samples exceeding 3 parts per million gold re-run with fire assay fusion and gravimetric finish. Standards were inserted in the sample stream and check analyses performed on select samples.
A total of 96 drill holes have been completed to date at the Back Forty Project, with results for holes LK-88 through LK-90 expected shortly. A second drill is being mobilized to the property with drilling ongoing. The Company will be updating the website with additional informational graphics including a plan view of the area of existing 43-101 compliant resource, as well as the mineralized zones on the recently acquired MRT Property.

Nachbörslich gab Aquila erneut Bohrergebnisse von 3 Bohrlöchern (LK-85 bis LK-87) des Back-Forty Zinkprojekts in Michigan bekannt. Highlights waren hier Zinkanteile von 18,4 Prozent und 13,2 Prozent auf Abschnitten von 6,2 beziehungsweise 8,4 Metern gefunden sowie ein 36 Meter langer Abschnitt mit Zinkgehalten von 13,4%! Wie wir Ihnen bereits mitteilten, haben die Zinkminen in Produktion durchschnittlich nur Gehalte von rund 7 Prozent vorzuweisen. TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing documentation relating to an option to purchase agreement (the "Option") dated August 3, 2006, between a private group of arm's length individuals (the "Optionees") and Aquila Resources Inc. (the "Company"). Pursuant to the Agreement, the Company shall have the option to acquire certain property consisting of approximately 50 acres, located in Lake Township, Menominee County, Michigan, including the mining and mineral rights thereto.
In order to exercise the option, the Company must pay the Optionees an aggregate of $11,700,000 over a nine-year period.
